31-Aug-2009: Stadio Friuli-Udine, Italy - Tickets, Previews, Meetups, Reviews/Photos

Yeah ... it's much cheaper then. Well I'll try to find a solution. Paying 10€ for going by car is far more reasonable (and comfortable) than going with bus (it doesn't even go through my city even though it'd shorten up the whole trip)

It would cost you 10€ by car??? Well you're really close to Udine!

This site where I bought ticket offered option in which you can buy only tickets and the price is between 50€ and 70€! Depends on place you have.

Yeah ... well it works like this: When I go to uni, I usually pay 3-4€ per ride. Udine is 70-80km away from my hometown (it's a bit closer than the capital), so 10€ is a reasonable price for going there and back again. :)

And the bus goes only from capital?

Well its definitely more reasonable to get there by car. I just hope you wont have problem with Friuli. But I dont that Udine is big city, so probably everyone know where the stadium is.

It goes from Maribor, then Celje, Ljubljana and Fernetiči (why the hell going almost to the seaside JUST to go back North?).

And thankfully, they should talk Slovene there, I don't think there'll be too big problems with communication! :laugh3: My Italian is a bit too rusty. :uhoh:

Well if they speak a bit of Slovene and you a bit of Italian it wont be problem. Plus there will be a lot of Coldplay fans and they all speak (or at least) understand English so you'll manage to find the way to stadium.

Definitely.

I think there are just two maybe three of us, from here that will be attending concert in Udine.

Well hope to see you too, even though I dont know you. But coldplaying people are always delighted to meet.

Also, could someone please explain these terms to me:

››Gradinata Numerata Intero

››Prato Non Numerato Intero

Thanks :)

Gradinata is the zone with the seats, Prato is the grass, very close to the stage!

Which is better if you want to get very close to the stage? Prato, right?

Yes but you need to be ready to get in the queue early

Very early: Denise, other friends and me went outside the gates of Bologna and Milano venues for the gigs of September 2008 and made a queue from 8.30 am but there were some other fans before us!

So early? I saw Radiohead in Milano, arrived to the arena one hour before it all began and ended pretty close to the stage.

Not sure about my friend, but queuing could be lots of fun! :D

I have ticket for Prato. But Ill be in Udine if everything goes well around 5pm. Ill probably be really far. But I have great camera with really good zoom so.

Some pics of the stadium, they were shot during a concert of a famous Italian singer (whom I don't like btw :P)

thanks to Steo

  • 3 weeks later...

I here to tell you that Ive got the ticket. Now only August has to come... :D

I'll be there too!!!

I just paid for my ticket ... and I just can't wait to see them again.

The only thing that worries me is that I probably won't see anything.

When I was in Vienna I was at the right ramp and had a perfect view:rolleyes:

Well ... the only thing that matters right now is that I am gonna to another Coldplay concert:cool:

Yay more people coming :D

btw Antonia, didn't see your post before, no, it was not Eros, it was Vasco Rossi, don't know if you know him, he's pretty famous here, I think he and Ligabue are the only italian singers who can play stadiums :blank:

Well, they are somewhat known over here ...

I still don't know whether I'm going or not, though.
