It's very easy to draw these sort of religious interpretations from coldplay songs. In fact most coldplay lyrics are intentionally ambiguous so that they may be applied to relationships, or religion, or politics etc. depending on the listener. But there's no clear giveaway that a song about being is lost, is anything more than just that. There are a million inspirational songs about such things. And while I don't intend to remove you from your own personal outlook on the song, there's nothing profoundly spiritual about the song in itself. There are more ways to be lost than to be lacking in faith.
