En la productora T4F, encargados de su visita, dicen que la no disponibilidad del Estadio Nacional es la principal razón. SANTIAGO, octubre 01.- Aunque ya estaba casi anunciado y se veía venir, esta mañana fue la lápida definitiva: Coldplay no incluyó a Santiago en el tour latinoamericano que anunció en su web oficial (http://www.coldplay.com) y que los tendrá en el continente la última semana de febrero y los primeros días de marzo. En Time for Fun (T4F), la productora que gestionaba su visita desde principios de año, corroboran esa información y recalcan que es definitivo que el conjunto inglés no pasará por Chile. ¿Razones? Básicamente la no disponibilidad del Estadio Nacional en esa fecha. Por esos días, el recinto seguirá sumergido en su amplia remodelación iniciada hace un par de semanas, por lo que no podrá ser ocupado aún para espectáculos masivos. Punto en contra, porque los hombres de "Yellow" exigen precisamente que este tour sea en estadios con capacidad para más de 50 mil personas. En la empresa también aseguran que, por ahora, se descartaron otras alternativas, como el Club Hípico. De hecho, el periplo de Chris Martin y compañía por la región sólo se programó en grandes sitios: partirá el 26 de febrero en el estadio de River Plate, en Buenos Aires; seguirá el 28 en el estadio Apoteose de Rio de Janeiro; luego, el 2, es el turno del Morumbí de Sao Paulo; dos días después aterriza en el parque Simón Bolivar de Bogotá; el 6 llega al Foro Sol de Ciudad de México; el 9 al estadio Tres Marzo, de Guadalajara; y el telón se baja el 11 en el estadio Universitario de Monterrey. El frustrado paso de Coldplay por Chile por falta de recintos se suma a la abortada visita de AC/DC, emblemas del hard rock que ya agendaron desembarco en Buenos Aires para principios de diciembre y que decidieron no pasar por Santiago debido a la carencia de lugares para espectáculos.
