not usually a fan of tennis but that 2nd set was gripping stuff!

Andy has finally learned to let loose and play Grand Slam tennis. The 1st 3 times he reached a slam final, he was way too nervous to fight and play good tennis. Things changed at this year Wimbledon. Hopefully today is the day. He's way too good not to have won a grand slam already at this point in his career. He made a great choice in hiring Lendl as a coach.

Way to save break points and hold to start the 3rd set!

Things not looking good for Andy anymore, even though he's 2 sets up. Novak has elevated his game big time.

5-2 in the 5th and serving for the match, Andy! Come on, mate!

Andy Murray is a Grand Slam champion. First Brit male since 1936? I can't remember the year.

Argghhh missed half of it cause I had to stay until late at school , btw awesome game by my 2 favourite players

So delighted for Andy! It's been a long journey for him but it's made last night's victory even more sweeter for it. Was one hell of a nervy night! Amazing for Britain and Scotland! Hopefully the flood gates will open for Andy and he will go on to win several more majors, of which I am sure of. September 10th 1936 was the day Fred Perry became the last British victor at a Grand Slam tournament, until September 10th 2012 came around thanks to Andy Murray.

They're at it again. Andy vs Novak in the Shanghai Masters Series final. Andy defeated Roger in straight sets to get to the final.

It's already a good one with long rallies.

Wow! Andy has gotten in Novak's head. I haven't seen the latter throw a tantrum on court in a very long time. He completely destroyed his racket when Andy broke him from 0-40. He got a well deserved warning for it

Murray takes the opening set 7-5 in 1hr30 min. Very entertaining 1st set, both players evenly matched but Djokovic cracking toward the end of the set.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Novak won the 2nd set 7-6(11). I don't think Andy has much left in the tank for a 3rd set. Oh well!

Oh well! Novak breaks to go up 4-3. Andy looks out of it. Failed to convert 5 championship points in the 2nd set.

It really is legendary, when Nadal and Djokovic looked like they were going to take advantage of a Roger Federer seemingly dipping in form a few seasons ago, it looked like when he lost the No.1 spot he probably wouldn't get it back. But he's going just as strong as ever, the competitions just gotten stronger too (Including Murray).
