As for leaving for Australia ...

 

They need to leave now to be on time.

 

When I once flew to Australia, I left at around 11 pm day 'A' and arrived at 6 am day 'C' (local time), due to the different time zones and duration of travel.

So leaving on the 24th means, he/they will arrive on the 26th and they surely need some time to adjust to time difference and climate :)

The twitter was sent 14 hours ago. 9 hours time difference to the UK for me means goes to midnight, then 14 hours back from that is 10am. If he was on his way to heathrow, take off the 4 hours for travel time and check in which estimates leaving at 2pm roughly. If that is the case, flying to Australia with a 2hour stopover somewhere estimates they will land this evening in Perth sometime :nice:, which makes sense considering that way they can go straight to bed and get up for a normal day tomorrow.
