sometimes I think that I don't "know" Coldplay anymore... I don't like it when people change. it's sad.

remixes seem to be along the same lines as covers. people just want to put their own spin on things. that's how i see it, anyway. :P

Hey, it's better than releasing a "radio edit" or some other such nonsense. Proper B-sides are pretty much dying out in the digital age.

True, but there's still the issue of B-Sides being less common generally these days, largely for reasons that bands typically have little to no control over. While they're still signed to EMI, Coldplay don't have final say over things like that, so it may not even have anything to do with them.
