I'm excited for Bat for Lashes. "Glass" is an amazing song.

oh haven't heard that. Saw her live when she was warmed up for Radiohead. Was alright.

since this has turned in a most anticipated album thread also. i might as well post the albums i'm looking forward to

i've never really been into any of Pete Doherty's bands but his new solo song sounds really great so i'll be sure to check out the album once it comes out.

and Grizzly Bear's latest sounds interesting also.

Oh my fucking god. SO EXCITED.

Wow I never heard of them but those reviews make me want to check them out.

Has anyone heard Fever Ray's album? I heard it's good.

The new Super Furry Animals album is good and worth checking out.

Chris Cornell's new album Scream is the only album besides Bruce Springsteen's that I have absolutely loved so far.

well i'm giving a listen to new bands:

sky larkin - the golden spike

hatcham social - you dig the tunnel, i'll hide the soil

micachu - jewellery

telepathe - dance mother

fever ray - fever ray

I didn't like any of the records released until now.

I didn't expect U2 album to be good, specially after a lame single like Get On Your Boots

According to their later retrospect (ignore their first albums, they don't count since that U2 era is gone), one third of their albums are really good.

eg:

Achtung Baby - Zoroopa - Pop - All That You Can't Leave Behind - How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb - No Line On The Horizon - ?

And The Prodigy's album isn't as good as I expected. Far from bad, but not good enough to great. So I stick with regular/good.

I got the Howling Bells album Radio Wars, its quite good, some really catchy songs on there. Singer has an amazing voice.

I'm kind of confused why Joshua Tree and everything pre-90s is left of that list. I mean, the zootv/popmart era is just as gone as the lovetown and war tours. And every single U2 album before Achtung Baby was better than Zooropa and Pop.

Can we include the radiohead re-issues?

I think the real question is: should we?

I say hell no.

EDIT: SKY LARKIN GOT A MENTION!!!! :D

I really like that album, wasn't expecting to see other fans on here.

Casiotone For The Painfully Alone - Advance Base Battery Life

So I got the Bat For Lashes album (Two Suns) and it's amazing. Her songs give me the chills. I recommend it to everyone.

The Decemberists - The Hazards of Love

^it was good.

Mono - Hymn of the Immortal Wind

^amazing.

Franz Ferdinand - Tonight

I know I'm late :P

I really like the Red Light Company album "Fine Fascination"
