The new Riverside is definitely worth a listen. It's a very solid album.

Tiny Vipers - Life On Earth

beautiful Folk album. Listened to it from my ipod while driving around on my bike.

still haven't listened to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs

also been liking the new Dinosaur Jr. songs I've heard on the radio.

I love how this list ALWAYS morphs into what people are looking forward to.

Thats not what this thread is about.

Its about what HAS been released and you HAVE enjoyed and think is worth hearing.

someone's grumpy

GRIZZLY BEAR. Excellent excellent stuff, Veckatimest. recommend it to everyone.

of course, Phoenix, I've fallen in love with them. Seeing them in September.

Passion Pit's album is great, they are opening for Phoenix as well.

Grand by Matt & Kim is pretty good.

Various Artists - Common People - The story of Brit Pop

Good mix of songs from the glory days of Brit Pop, without any Blur or Oasis

Regina Spektor's album "Far" is AMAZING. :wacky:

"It's Not Me, It's You- Lily Allen

"Two Suns"- Bat For Lashes

"Lungs"-Florence and the Machine

Love all of these. Listened to them constantly the first few weeks.

Paper Route - Absense

Leaves - We Are Shadows

Doves - Kingdom of Rust

Owl City - Ocean Eyes

Clint Mansell - Moon Soundtrack

I`ve been enjoying The Most Serene Republic`s latest.

Decoder Ring - They Blind The Stars and The Wild Team

The Dead Weather - Horehound

Lisa Mitchell - Wonder

Arctic Monkeys - Humbug ( "out" August 24)

Should check them out then. Thanks!

yeah thanks to Nik, who sent me the link to the album. I've been needing this for a while.. music that blows me away.

Ooh, getting me all excited it now!

Send my regards to Nik! :D

yeah some very interesting info behind the album and about it, too I've been reading.. need to pick up the lyrics. too because the whole album is actually a one story

from wikipedia.

The album tells an explicit story (in first-person narrative) of a man losing a loved one to bone cancer and watching her die in the Sloan Kettering Cancer Ward while he is beside her. Memories, regret and grief occur throughout the album

I like that sort of work.
