I know that the Boy-JT era has LOTS of great albums, but I left it off my list because I'm talkin' about the U2 recent releases (a.k.a. since '90), because the Boy-JT era is gone. You don't think that their next album will be JT-like, do you?

The new Metric album is good.

You mean NLOTH? Well its sure as hell not Zooropa either. The zoo-tv/popmart era is just as dead and gone as boy-Jt. I wouldn't call something released 19 years ago "recent", and none of their albums from this decade sounds like the electro-pop stuff they did in the 90s. So my point was if you include Achtung Baby, you might as well include everything. If you want "current" U2, don't go any farther back than "All That You Can't Leave Behind".

and despite how it is so analog and not as layered as their past two records, it fits the gap beetween Some Great Reward and Songs of Faith and Devotion

 

amazing record, highly recomended.

Agreed with Doves, although I have had bad luck when trying to listen to the album with batteries in my speakers dying, my iPod to Tape breaking and my iPod's battery dying, but it's good.

Hasnt been leaked as sorts, but heard 4 of the 12 tracks already, and it sounds like a brilliant album.

 

Fire, Vlad the Impaler, Underdog, and Fast Fuse are the four ive heard. Underdog is being used on the new Sony advert.
