Since I am a relative newb to the whole Coldplay thing (although I've liked their music forever, I don't know much about them personally), and since we're waiting for new stuff from Apparatjik, how about you Guy fans tell us a bit more about Mr. Berryman? :D

So, where do I begin?

Apart from what's on his page on WikiPedia, here're some random facts about him:

 

- Smokes.

- Drinks.

- Rare oldies collector for his juke box.

- Has more than 55 different cameras in his house, hence his obsession with photography.

- Shopping-holic.

- Runs 14 miles almost everyday with Coldplay's personal trainer Dan Green, though he was never into sports.

- It was his idea to mix Coldplay's debut album in America which, according to Chris Martin, was a turning point in their career.

- Along with his passion for bass, he likes to play drums.

- He listens to Kraftwerk, The Beatles, Gram Parsons.

yes he plays a mean bass....:sneaky: along with other instruments, he ran the London marathon last year and came in the top 2,000 which is pretty impressive! he wanted to run it again this year but his hip got injured :cry:

 

he is all into fashion and he designed the coldplay viva la vida outfits that they are wearing during this tour. he is a gadget head... pretty good on the computer, and he fought to keep White Shadows on X&Y (thank god!) he dislikes Shiver and Green Eyes, cus he thinks they sound too country!

 

he wrote the first lines of Yellow... "look at the stars, look how they shine for you, and everything you do..."

 

he is called the "Handsome One" on coldplays website and also known as the "Dark Horse"

he doesnt have a fav. color except that it is NOT yellow :P:P

Chris talked about it in an interview, the way he described Guy's refilling with Vodka is funny!! (see also Coldplay's unofficial bio which quote Chris's interview). I pity Guy who end up supporte him on the street to bring Chris to Guy's place while Chris was singing out of tune drunken XDD

This happened while recording Parachutes when Will quited the band after Chris got mad at him for no reason... To punish himself, he went to Guy's place to get drunk XD
