My name is Alyssa and I'm told I'm addicted to Coldplay. ALL my friends tell me I can't have a conversation without talking about Coldplay or music. It actually started when I was 4 years old...[crazy huh?]I had heard the most beautiful sound in the world...every key of the piano left me wondering who the artist were... It followed me up until I heard Viva la Vida. When I heard Viva la Vida just one month after my birthday I quickly searched the music video. I loved the song. I loved the video. One day when I had searched 'Coldplay' on the web one of the links featured 'Clocks'. I was tempted to click on it and so I did...I listened to it ever so carefully. After listening I said "This is the band! This the song I have heard and loved for years!". I had been looking for that song for 8 years. Here I am now, still at the age of 12 and turning 13 on July 12th, 2009. The month after I turn 13 I am going to see Coldplay live in Mansfield,US. I actually wear one of my Coldplay shirts to school everyday...I know Im completley obsessed with Coldplay. I listen to coldplay in my sleep every night [me listening to music all night is NOT a coldplay side affect, I did it far before I became obsessed...]. I'm CrAzY for Coldplay. If you want to know someone who absolutley LOVES Colplay to pieces you found the person! I've researched Coldplay for about a year now. If you want to know anything about Coldplay or just talk about Coldplay, just talk to me! I can talk about them for a lifetime. Thanks for finding me.

Hello Alyssa:D! Holy crap I have almost the same story about how I fell in love with COLDPLAY:shocked2:!!!

 

Just like you said you heard clocks when you were real young, same for me! I wanted to know who played that amazing song. Then one day I heard Speed of Sound on the radio, I went to the store and bought X&Y. I then looked on the internet for some COLDPLAY videos and saw clocks, and just like you I was so thrilled to have finally found the band! Also there were some other songs that I fell in love with during my yearly childhood, all of those songs just happened to be by COLDPLAY!!! I was so amazed to fined that like five songs I loved were all by one band!

 

Those songs were In My Place, Clocks, The Scientist, Yellow and Trouble:wacky:

 

Since then I have collected every EP, studio album, B-side, and just about any music that COLDPLAY have had a hand in.

 

Then one day I came across this amazing site and I was so happy to fined people just like me!!!

 

And yes you are a COLDPLAY freak:mad: welcome to the freak show:D

i love coldplaying so muchh just like you! one of my very best friends is an obsessed coldplay fan too but other than her i have nobody else to share my obsession with. a bunch of my friends like coldplay but nowhere near as much as me so going to this website is so refreshing. i feel so at home even though i've never met any of these people (as far as i know :P)!

i also love that youre a young fan. i'm only 14 but i've loved yellow ever since it came out when i was 6. after that i had crappy elementary schooler musical taste but when fix you and speed of sound came out i was like, "hmmm... i should really listen to them more." then i heard the scientist and coldplay officially became my favorite band. i was 11 then. :D and now i constantly think about coldplay and relate everything back to them.

if theres one thing i love as much as coldplay (besides my family of course) then its definately coldplay fans. we're so eclectic! and even though we get into little spats on this forum we're like one huge family.
