I got two in section 120, 12 rows up from the floor. It's a little further from the stage than I would have liked, but still very decent seats (not as good as Talkshowhost's friend's!!!those are virtually on top of the band at the side of the stage!)

 

Don't forget...this is a pretty small venue (15,000 max), so anything below the 300 levels is good (unless you're near the back of the floor and shorter than 6 feet).

Ok, so what's the WORST worst case scenario?

Buying 1 ticket instead of 2! YUP! That's how idiotic I am! So I'll be sitting at my computer in a panic again tomorrow morning trying to get some good seats for the show!

It sold out in about 4 minutes. I had 5 other people on their computers and two friends at the MTS centre waiting in line and the best that came up was 200 level + and they were all gone within 5 minutes. I'm extremely happy with what I got through presale now seeing how fast this thing sold out.

I didn't even see level 1 seats in the first minute and by 10:03am it was saying there are no tickets left. I hope they are able to add a second show since this one sold out so fast.

I find it hilarious that no one on this board, the biggest Coldplay board on the internet, where true fans come, saw floor today. I was right on it, with 4 computers and one on the phone right at 10:00.

A friend of mine, whose company sponsored the first Kanye show way back last year, let me know that MOST of the seats hadn't even been released yet.

What does that mean, "haven't been released yet"? Will they be put into the general Ticketmaster pool at random times??

 

I keep getting sections 111 and 113, behind the stage. They have a backdrop on the stage. So wouldn't these be even worse than "obstructed view"? Like, NO view???

I wouldn't count on randomly one day trying to find two seats and expect to see 5th row floor magically come up because they've suddenly been released

My very first search came up with 2 tickets in the 100 section, but I passed on them because of the floor seats I got during the pre-sale. Everything else that came up was pretty weak.

 

I'd love to know who got floor tickets and how they managed to get them!

Are they even allowed to do that? Shouldn't they just have to release everything at once to be fair to everyone?

 

I am so furious at how this system works. I'm in section 216 beside/behind the stage. Its OK... but where are all the row 15 and closer? I'm not even seeing those on stubhub and what not.

 

There is some bull happening with these ticket sales and I'm losing sleep over it.

Whoever said section 206 is a bad location should check again...it's in the lower level on the side, not far from the stage.

 

C mazurek....pre-sales are the only way to get decent tix. It's the 21st century, man.

I agree, I really hate the way that ticket companies work. It really is just about creating the best, most profitably situation.

 

For instance, most people think that Pre-sales have the best seats. In some cases this is true. For instance, when Coldplay had their own presales before, the presales were meant for FANS ONLY, but since these presales are open to anyone, it works different. Very few actually good seats open up.

Ticketmaster gives the impression that there are no good seats and you should buy whatever there is, because...well...that's all there is! But it isn't the case, USUALLY. Sometimes, it might be.

 

But I also agree with Bobby. It would be naive to just keep waiting and expecting floor seats to pop up.

But floor seats will keep opening up all the time, from now up until the show.

 

I'd love to see Coldplay take care of their own ticket pre-sales, like the did before. There is a lot of money in going with BestBuy and places like that, but it really screws the fans.

 

I'm not ranting. I swear. I just love Coldplay this much.

Floor tix are only good if:

 

a) you're taller than 6 feet and/or

b) you get something in the first 15-20 rows.

 

Otherwise, you'll be seeing a lot of people's heads. Think about the angle: you're trying to see a band ona stage that is, say, eight feet off the ground. If you're only a few rows away, you're looking up so your view might be really good. If you're further back, you're looking more ahead than up and there are a lot of heads in between you and the stage.

 

I'm glad I got 100's.

Ticketmaster has just recently released some more tickets for the Winnipeg show.

 

You not going to believe this, but I just got ROW 21 on the FLOOR!

 

I just checked again and there is no more floor tickets left BUT there is some pretty good 100 level tickets like section 106!

There are some people who surely bought those tickets behind the stage... And definitely won't be able to get rid of them now if they managed to get some of this "batch".

The stage should be like St. Paul so my sec 216 beside/behind might actually be good, especially since chris martin pretty much runs to every corner of the stage during a bunch of songs, haha
