Hey, everybody. My name is John, and I'm here obviously because I enjoy Coldplay's music. I've listened to them before but only recently become a healthy obsessed. I'm more engrossed in some of their older stuff, but I really enjoy the music all around. 'Shiver' 'The Scientist' 'Talk' 'Lost? (Nope, I like the acoustic better.)' 'Politik' etc are some of my favorites.

I'm 13 years old (This is where the prime amount of people cringe and go to another topic), and noticing that i'm one of very few y chromosomes on these boards, which makes me feel quite girly indeed. I play the piano, violin, and a small amount of guitar and saxophone.

 

Err.. what else should I say?

Hello John - you shouldn't feel bad - I'm 15, so not much older than you. And you're not alone in liking Lost? better than the regular version - (on most days) I do too. :) Enjoy your stay.

 

And don't worry about there not being many boys here - a few more of them hang around in the lower-section threads (lounge, news, etc). We won't bite. :P

Girls can bite? Oh my. Well, thankfully someone agrees with me on Lost?. I'm not that big a fan of Hip Hop/ R&B, and 'Lost!' kind of carries that vibe. Not to disrespect 'Uncle Jay', of course.

Jay-Z? Jesus, that man is a terrible artist. I mean, most hip-hop as a rule isn't good, but Jay-Z is just... not that good. Or I don't like him very much at least. (Btw, I think you're thinking of Lost+ -- there are like four different punctuation marks you have to tell them apart by) Lost? has a really pretty piano solo. ^_^ I totally see where you're coming from.

 

@ the "girls can bite" comment -- ah, you'd be surprised, little guy :P

I personally don't see why age should matter. As long as you don't act so immaturely that it's in bad taste, people won't mind you here. I say this from personal experience. (I was 14 when I joined my first forum...very interesting time indeed...)

 

Glad to hear that you play piano, too. That was the first instrument I learned to play. :)

I'm not a hardcore muse fan, but I respect Matthew Bellamy highly as an artist. I recently saw an earlier video of him alone in a room (except a camera man) playing a Chopin Etude on a grand piano, a glass of wine sitting on the top of the grand. He definitely has class.
