i am a super fan but i will not describe the things i do..i might become a bit creepy if i do..but i do listen to other music occasionally

Im a coldplay super fan because I would do ANYTHING to go to a show even when I have been in a lot of them, im ALWAYS listening coldplay, people know that I'm obsessed with coldplay, even Im always trying to relate things with coldplay, I painted my guitars like chris do, I have all kind of posters in my room, well you would see if you get into my room haha, I love coldplaying so much, and of course I love coldplay more than anything else.. I love chris a little bit more:D

I'd say I'm a light superfan, I only come here about once a week (offical site about 4-5 times)and don't usually come into the forums, even though you are all lovely people, (I just don't have a lot of time these days). I listen to coldplay at least three times a week, I have a hard copy of all their EP's (except Safety) and Albums. I've been a fan since 2000 and I would and have flown to another city to go to one of their shows.

I think I like Coldplay above all other because out of all the music on the planet I most see myself reflected in their music, it's the kind of music I would want to write if I were a musician.

 

So maybe not a superfan, or number 1 fan, but certainly a bigger fan than most and someone who has very much appreciated their presence since their beginings. And Chris is right when he says Coldplay has the best fans in the world, you guys really are the lovliest bunch of people and I always feel at home when I'm at a coldplay concert.

In August I'll be quitting my job and moving to London which gives me easier access to see who COLDPLAY...................

I am Superfan. I come from the planet known as ChrisTon, and my only weakness is ChrisTonite. Some people call me "The Man of Strawberry Swing". I also have a dog named Christo. When I'm not busy making love to Lois Lost+, I'm busy stopping such devious criminals as Lex Lhuna or Joe Satriani. I can fly to any concert I want and even have X-ray vision that enables me to see through Chris's brain.

-i visit their official website a couple times a day

-i have my coldplay playlist on my ipod that i have listened to in my car for literally 10 months and nothing else (im not kidding)

-my walls are covered with coldplay posters

-i have the vinyls of all their albums, but no player

-i have about 5 coldplay t-shirts

-i made my niece a lullaby cd of coldplay songs

-when a coldplay song comes on at work, i tell everyone to not bother me until its over

-i can't get time off in july to see coldplay two days in a row so im quitting my job

-im going to london in april and i plan on going to the bakery

-im also visiting paris in april and im only excited to go to the louve (sp) to see the painting from their viva album cover

-if im walking by a store in the mall and i hear a coldplay song i will go in just so i can hear the song

-coldplay is really the only reason i wish i could sing, play piano and the guitar

I am because it gives purpose to my life. I loved them since late parachutes (ie picked up on them after thier last single was released on the album). I paid everyone's way to go and see them - which was far far away. I stayed at the entertainment centre all day with my sharpie ready. I determinedly tried to make eye contact throughtout the whole concert. My first concert I had a broken leg but that didn't stop me. When I feel like shopping I head to their online store and I read every single one of my coldplay alerts and basically there is so much more because it is virtually my life.

I think you're a superfan if you believe you are. If you're not one - you'd know you're not. This is just a thread where people can post about how obsessed they are and how they..deal with their obsessions.

I just wrote down a few major points in my earlier post. I think what's good about this forum is that it's a place where we can all relate to each other a bit.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who's got flak for being a Coldplay psycho fan. But in the end, screw 'em. It's them who are missing out on the good stuff. They're just blind to the fact that there is something more beautiful, sensitive, deeper and just down right awesome about Coldplay's music. It's something which can turn a crap day into a better day, which can make you smile - or cry. Coldplay's music is (to quote Chris) 'a silver line in the crowd'.

 

Which makes me think how lucky we are ;)..

Not quite a superfan yet I dont think but.

I only learn how to play Coldplay songs for my piano and guitar (does Kanye+Chris count?:)). I only got singstar 3 for one particular song, Ive listened to Coldplay not stop for the last year. My friends call me obsessed for going on about how I touched 'the' Chris Martin. When my teachers at College mention particular lines from songs I burst out singing. Like today in Physics, X&Y graphs were used, and we had an experiment where the "Lights go Out". I wear tape round my fingers. I get extremely defensive when anybody bad mouths the band. I nagged a friend for 3 months until he finally gave me a couple of butterflies (I wasnt on the ground floor) I can always hear and notice when Coldplay are being played in the Queen Vic on Eastenders LOL! Im only 17, so hopefully when I pass my driving test I can get to more then the one gig I've only been so far :D

I really think I am one of the hardcore CSF, this because Coldplay not only follows me through life, but because Coldplay IS my life.

-I have a Coldplay shrine (people call it like this :lol:) that's slowly (because of the lack of money:(!!) growing

-I ONLY listen to Coldplay since almost a year EVERYWHERE, EVERY DAY

-They are my FAVOURITE BAND since I was 10

-I convinced my parents to let me go to their concert when I was 12 even if it was in another city(and believe me it's difficult when you're so little!)

-I convinced my sister (after months and months of begging) to bring me to their concert last September

-I did everything I could to convince my parents to bring me to their concert in 2009 but it didn't work because nobody wants to bring me(it's sucks so much that I'm not old enough to go on my own!!:bigcry:)

-I spend all my money on Coldplay

-I recently spent ALL my money on the singles box set and a bunch of merchandise but it never arrived, so now I'm saving up to buy them all again

-I made myself a shirt like Chris's

-I wear tape around my fingers sometimes and I have ALWAYS the = equal sign on my hand

-if I had the money I would buy every Coldplay existing thing

-if I had a person to go with and money to pay the travels I would go at every Coldplay concert I could

-I never stop thinking of them

-even though nobody around me likes them I stuck with them since I was 10

-I continuosly make more Coldplay related stuff to put in my room (already full of Coldplay stuff)

-I always talk of them and spread the Coldplay love

-I practically know all their songs by heart

-MY DEAREST DREAM IS TO MEET THEM and TALK TO THEM

-I'D DO ANYTHING FOR THEM OR TO MEET THEM

 

-I LOVE THEM WITH ALL MY HEART

 

These are just the first things that come to mind. There are so many more little details and stuff...

It's underscribable how much I love them. I just hope one day my dream'll come true... I love them so much...:).

Well, can't beat "coldplay_are_forever", :P, but here's why I think I'm a Coldplay superfan...

 

-I have all of Coldplay's albums, singles, b-sides, etc.

-I know every Coldplay song (that has piano in it) on piano.

-They are my favorite band

-I have a Viva la Vida Shirt, and just ordered an XandY shirt.

-I have Coldplay stuff all over my walls, including all the artwork from all of their albums.

-I'm listening to Coldplay right now. (See You Soon, to be exact.)

-I have "Coldplay News" on my homepage.

-I have this site, and the official website bookmarked.

-I watch their music videos quite often on youtube.

-I have a man-crush on Chris Martin... haha :P

-I've seen probably 90% of their interviews on the internet.

-I am now listening to another Coldplay song, which is Trouble. teehee

 

There's more, but I'm just not in the typing mood anymore.

On a more serious note (if you didn't get it, my last post was a Superman reference; may have just not been funny), the fact that "superfan" has no actual definition complicates things. I'm a huge fan, that's for sure. Not as obsessive as some people here who paint their doors and walls, but I have my share of memorabilia on display. Oh, and people say I listen to them too much, so that has to count for something, right? :P

I got a coldplay poster with viva.

I rolled it up, stuck it in my piggy bank, and it hasn't moved since.

Chris Martin donated this double platinum disc that the band were given for sales of Viva la Vida to the South Devon branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society. It is signed by all the band, and a real collector’s item. As many of you will know, Chris is from South Devon and he has personally donated the disc to the branch in support of the great work they do to help people in the area who are affected by MS, a disease that can be truly devastating.
