i think I can conjur up something witty to say about that.

even If I did just spell conjur wrong.

Being gay is horrible.

I've fallen in love a couple of times in my life, both times with straight guys. And to make matters worse their girlfriends would treat them like crap.

I hate falling in love. Heck, I hate just liking people in that sort of way. The guys I end up liking either don't like me at all, are disinterested, or aren't straight. :annoyed:

Not meaning to offend anyone, of course. I just wish for once something would turn out RIGHT. :(

I shared my story on the Coldplay subforum already and I don't think I'd repeat it here.

Love hurts, but you never really entirely know how much it's worth until you lose it.

nice to see 4 topic worthy contributions added to the thread- havent checked yet, does that mean Strawberry`s rival thread survive the night or no?>>>runs to look

on topic: love hurts. ( excellent old song by Nazareth.)

love hurts a lot when you love someone who's very far from you

in the other side of the planet!!

I know exactly how that feels.

really,

you are in the same situation??

let's be together in sorrow then  :bigcry:

I'm not much of a believer in "love." People exaggerate their feelings way too often. Even if people in a relationship really like each other, it seems like they get bored of each other a lot of the time eventually. I don't think that one's life should revolve around the idea of falling in "love." There's much more to life than just that. I think that amazing friendships are a better choice than a relationship that likely won't last.

that last part is so true.

Eh, I'm not so sure about that. I mean, it's true that people often don't appreciate something until it's gone, yes. But with relationships splitting (not referring to anyone in particular's situation here. This is in general), a lot of the time, people imagine that their relationship was better than it actually was once it's gone, when it actuality, the relationship wouldn't have went so well if it had continued.

Ugggh. I didn't manage to explain my thoughts very well up there.

Well it depends on the type of person. I do believe there are some people who aren't capable of falling in love. That's not a cut against them, they just have a different sort of mental pattern going on.

Sometimes people mistake lust for love, that's true. But the surest way to tell the difference between the two is to ask yourself this: do you care more about being in a relationship with the target of your affection, or more about their happiness? If you're willing to forgo a relationship with them so you can see them happy (with someone else) then that's true love.

I think that more often than not, people are so lustful that they are somehow convinced that this sort of thing (or something else that makes it seem as though it is real love) is is the case even if it is not.

Maybe.

I'm trying to set up a guy I like with one of my girlfriends. It just seemed like an act of love, at least from my perspective...

True, true so true Saffire.

Foregoing a relationship so you can free them to be happy(ier) with someone else- or with ANYTHING that causes them greater happiness, well being, or even success, IS the utmost act of true love.

imho...

Awesome avatar, Kels! I'm gonna change my avatar and sig tomorrow I think.

Maybe.
