 I used to like it, and "used" is a key word. I used to have all the cards and everything  It was the thing all schoolkids done for a while I think. In my year anyway

When I was younger I had loads of cards but I didn't even know how use them. :P

I was a huge fan of the show... I remember that I saw the first chapter when I was like 7 or something, when there were only 99 pokemons

I played Pearl for DS and clocked in days worth of time.

I am totally not ashamed. :laugh3:

I dunno, like everyone, the original pack holds sentimental value to me, but in retrospect, they had some fairly generic designs. While a few latter designs are rather ridiculous, they've also come up with some really creative spins.

Haven't bought any cards in at least 5 years, though I'm sure most people stopped way earlier than that. :P

Yet another craze that's been confined to the wastebin!!

My dad actully loved the game more than me.

He got 6 of my pokemon up to lvl 100 in my saphire game

It used to be a guilty pleasure.

"Used" is a key word for me, too :P My brother and I had like all the cards, and we'd keep them in this huge binder (we still have it) and trade with our friends.

Biznitches.

Um yea I have all of that. Pkmn Ruby, Pkmn Emerald, Pkmn FireRed, Pkmn Blue, GBA Video Pkmn A Hot Water Battle/For Ho-Oh The Bells Toll (GBA Videos were later scrapped so these are rather rare and worth a lot now), Pkmn Dash and Pkmn Dungeon Blue. One DS (sound not working) and three GBAs. And two Link Cables.

Unfortunately that Emerald up there is a replacement for an earlier Emerald cartridge that I lost and that Ruby one isn't my original Ruby either, which is why I nickname it Ruby2 in the following story. I thought I lost Ruby a few years back so I bought Ruby2. However I found Ruby so gave Ruby2 for my sister, she got the clear GBA seen above to play with the game. She lost Ruby2 and GBA, I later lost Ruby. Recently I found Ruby2 and GBA but the original Ruby and Emerald are nowhere to be found. I lost them at my friend's house. Sucks (I had a ridiculous amount of lv100s on those two games).

I also lost Diamond, but that's okay, because that game was made of lag and suck. I hated it. I got up to the Elite 4 and couldn't beat them because I had chosen to evenly level out my team and there weren't enough training opportunities for the levels E4 had (50-high 60s, Victory Road gave you 36-40 at best).

And I have cards, too.

We all do. We all kept them because we knew they'd be collector's items by now.

i didn't even know there was a game before the show.

I'm just not much into that kind of stuff.. or has ever been

Both true and false.

True in that the "craze" or "fad" is long dead. You don't see hour-long lines for cards anymore.

False in that as a franchise, Pokemon continues to sell like hotcakes. The recent Diamond/Pearl games have sold 17 million copies worldwide.

Also, Cobalt just gained a bunch of respect in my books to cancel out whatever respect he just lost from others. :P

New game looks ok, but I lost my DS! :bigcry:

The wheel was the craze in your day wasn't it? :laugh3:  :laugh3:  :laugh3:

Jeez, people. There isn't anything wrong with enjoying Pokemon games or video games in general. Not something to be ashamed of.

original 150 for the win.

Yes.

Do you honestly think that people don't play Pokemon games anymore?

She, she! :disappointed:

I also have a Mudkip toy, as seen below. I had a Flygon one somewhere as well because those things kick ass, but can't find it. It was kinda ugly compared to in-game Flygon anyway.

This is nostalgic. I feel like playing one of the roms now.

haha can't believe im admitting this but i remember stealing pokemon cards from my brother, i think i was more into it then he was :P i have emerald and ruby and its pretty addicting :stunned:

id never be caught dead playing it at school though :P

No one's more addicted than i am, i'm SUCH geek for pokemon, since i was like 8.

I had soooo many stuff, but then my brother was born :shifty:

That's all that's left :(

I used to make myself these things to put all the cards and stickers. I used to buy like 20 gums a day only to have the stickers!
