August 3, 201015 yr bump. still my fave is la colmena, followed by alatriste saga ones. for foreign authors -for me- i'll choose authors and not a particular book.
August 4, 201015 yr Can't say I have a fav book. There are many books that inspired me though e.g. The Sea The Sea by Iris Murdoch, The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath, On Beauty by Zadie Smith, Angela's Ashes by Frank McCourt or Mephisto by Klaus Mann. A modern book I really enjoyed was A Fraction of a Whole by Steve Toltz. I also love Anna Gavalda's stories. And I admit, Persuasion by Jane Austen is great. :)
