Viva La Vida Covered by Lady GaGa

Featured Replies

Honestly, you guys are being way too hard on her. I love the spin she puts on it, she just doesn't execute it well. I would love to hear somebody like Christina Aguilera sing this.

Lady Gaga is fine, but no thank you to Christina. Her voice is too big and she doesn't ahve good control imo.

Wow Coldplay are ace!!!!!!!!!!!!

How can anyone ever compare to THE BEST BAND IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Obviously not!

Coldplay forever! Coldplay rule!

lol, I detect a note of sarcasm? :P

Look the fact that she's singing coldplay is irrelevant, There are much better singers than Chris. I just think her voice would be abrasive singing pretty much anything the way she did this song.

I'm sorry I came off so accusatory towards your first few posts on the forum.

What did you expect, everyone to be nice and loving with fluffy bunnies and honey sap? This is a Coldplaying fansite, not a Gaga/general music one.

I listened to 30 seconds and couldn't handle it. Hate her, hate that version, can't believe she even did it. Ewww I must listen to proper viva la vida and cleanse myself from that awful version.

I got to 33 seconds and ran for the hills...*clicks onto iTunes*...

:P

you saying that all Coldplay fans are not nice fluffy lil' bunny lovers??????

That's fine like I say we all have our opinions and hell we're all very different! But thats good!

I've got to say to everyone here who don't like this song and thinks she "Murdered it" maybe you need to open up your mind???

I think Coldplay should be happy that she covered it and I think we all should be grateful too. If you look at her a little closer she is a classical trained pianist and a song writer, an artist that has been in the industry a long time she is a big fan of the band and that to me is enough.

I think this version is very artistic!!! LOVED IT CAN'T STOP LISTENING!!!

I concur.

Some of you people have your heads jammed WAAAY too far up Coldplay's asshole. And as a result, you're suffocating and not giving yourselves a chance to breathe in something different.

That chick's got some mad talent. And she's freakin hot.

Haha, oh I expected this believe me. I was just stating my opinion, and like somebody said before, I wouldn't be surprised if Chris found this cover intriguing.

Well I think she had a great voice and that it wasn't that bad at all! Even if she got a fu**ed up with the lyrics and changed them a lot, that acoustic version was not as bad as many people say, in my opinion.

Prefer the Chrissy one, though ;)

(by the way: : in germany gaga means crazy:laugh3:)

Doesn't "kaka" have a certain meaning in Germany too??:P

I concur.

Thank you!! yes there is alot of mad talent there and I have to agree she is sh*t hot!!

The fact you guys have to emphasize her 'hotness' clearly demonstrates how much more artistic and open-minded you are.

Just because a million girls think Edward Cullen is 'freakin hawt!' doesn't make his acting any better.

i agree completely (i always like how u get your point across ;) )

and lol at 'freakin hawt'..

Haha, I just got around to listening to this and I did not like it!

But I'm sure Chris liked it until the "be my Chris and I'll be your Gwyneth" line... I can imagine his face when she said that

Why yes!

i think my ears are bleeding :P

pretty good arangement though, just not by her in my opinion

It'not that bad....

Compared to what??:stunned:

Honestly you are all haters. Its a different style version of Viva that she put her own style and creativity too. I liked it. Of course I have no idea who Lady Gaga is, but at least she is playing a piano and adding her own twist to it, rather then just karaoki'ing (spelling?) it.

I love how disliking something automatically allows a person to be dismissed as a 'hater'.
