well, in the interviewer's defense, i think he knew Guy was Scotish, it was just a really poorly thought out way to get Guy to talk about it.

he should have said something like "So Guy, I understand you were born in and grew up in Scotland, can you tell us about your childhood here?"

something to that effect wouldnt have made him sound like an idiot.

I also think that it's Guy even if it got better I think. But when I watch some old concerts, Guy is staying in the dark and if you didn't know that they have a bass player you wouldn't really recognize him.

 

But the other thing is that I also alternate between Guy and Will. I think it also could be Will, because his thread is shorter than the ones for the other guys.

The first time I saw the thread I just couldn´t vote!

And it took me a long time of thinking to choose Will.

Bc he´s an awesome musician, and I honestly think that its him and not Chris who creates a lot of the songs... He just dont get the credit for it!:confused:

 

Will is underrated but at the same time he is getting more and more recognition this tour i think as a musician.

 

and yeah even tho Guy attracts all the ladies and he gets a ton of attention for his looks, as far as their musical talents.....he gets neglected the most in that area :(

he isn't just the bass player, he is a multi-instrumentalist too! you only ever here Chris or ppl say that Will is the multi-instrumentalist but really Guy knows how to play the bass, drums, keyboard, he has been doing back up vocals since X&Y, harmonica, tamborine, and whats that other instrument he knows how to play :thinking: im forgetting the name of it right now.

 

and whenever Chris is talking about the boys he is always saying like Will has the voice of an angel, or about Jonny's guitar riffs and how amazing they are and then when he gets to Guy its always "he makes our calendar sales" or something about his looks....so yeah sadly even Chris does it too :(

IGuy is still in the shadow...He's not a 'shiny' bass player like Flea (RHCP) but his bass lines are trully beautiful! I'd say Guy is an 'intelligent' player. He's not trying to do exentric stuff with his instrument (even if he can be pretty bad ass and groovy...'Rainy day' people!!), but his work highlights the song (and Chris words) exactly at the right time...It's sharp, and it gives depth to the songs in my opinion...X&Y is marked all over with Guy's touch but strangely, few people notice it...:/
