I was so close to seeing him live....

Im gonna be honest have never been that big of a fan, but of course like some of his songs. Who can honestly admit that they didn't? I did not like his music or style but the man was a legend no doubt about. Pioneer and everything else that was said. Distasteful joke? anyone want to go see a Jackson 4 concert with me?

thought that was a little humourous but in all seriousness he will be missed by many.

You might not see it this way, but judging by reports I reckon you might have actually been spared potential disappointment.;)

Tribute Concert maybe?

there was one for freddie mercury and one for john lennon so why not one for the greatest entertainer of all time.

sooo many people including myself grew up with Michael's amazing music. so sad to see him go at such an early age. i never believed all the bad stuff because there's no evidence and even if he did do it, the good stuff he did for people definitely out-shines the bad. RIP

In reality, the real Michael Jackson died in the early '90s. Since then he had been a pale shadow of his former self.

I thought it was a joke at first! :(

I was so curious to his upcoming tour..now we cant see it anymore :(

To each their own. I prefer Invincible to Dangerous, anyway, there are a lot of great songs on that album. HIStory and Thriller will always be my favorite MJ albums, though.

Video of Michael Jackson accident surfaces online

A video of a harrowing accident that occurred while Michael Jackson was filming a Pepsi commercial in 1984 has surfaced online.

The video shows Jackson dancing on stage at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles while pyrotechnic displays explode around him. Things went wrong during the sixth take, when the fireworks went off too early and Jackson's hair caught on fire.

Jackson was apparently unaware that his head was burning and continued dancing until the crew descended on him to put out the flames. He reportedly suffered third-degree burns on his scalp and body as a result.

According to Usmagazine.com, Jackson was prescribed several medications to help him tolerate the pain from this accident, which began his addiction to painkillers and his obsession with plastic surgery.

wow thats some seriously frightening footage. things really turned for him from that moment on. i hope the family consented in that footage being released.

That video is intense. Especially the spot on his head after the burn. I think his addiction to prescription meds following this accident, and subsequent death, will cause major reform in the Rx industry. These MDs who act as facilitators must stop.

New Michael Jackson album set to be released in November

Ten previously-unreleased tracks will feature on posthumous LP

A new Michael Jackson album featuring previously-unreleased songs is set to be released in November.

The as-yet-untitled posthumous LP is set to feature 10 songs from sessions recorded during his peak in the 80s right up to his recording sessions with Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am in 2006.

Before his death on June 25, 2009, Jackson left hard drives filled with unheard music, reports Rolling Stone. Jackson's manager Frank DiLeo claimed that the singer's vaults contains more than 100 completed and unreleased songs, including collaborations with Akon and Ne-Yo.

"There are a couple of songs we recorded for the 'Bad' album that we had to cut that are just sensational," DiLeo said.

Last year, a pair of previously-unreleased songs, 'Another Day' and 'A Place With No Name', surfaced. Rodney Jerkins, who co-produced Jackson's 2001 album 'Invincible', revealed that he was working on the collection.

The album will be the first in a 10-album, seven-year deal the Jackson estate agreed with Sony BMG in March 2010.

i wonder if that one will be the only album it'll come out.

I doubt it, Sony have got a deal for 10 albums! over 7 years.

November, just in time for Christmas then :laugh3:

*cue rolling the barrel over*

Oh man, I remember the day Michael Jackson died. I was at Jamba Juice with my friend and then this one lady was on her phone and then she yelled: OH MY GOD MICHAEL JACKSON IS DEAD :stunned.

and then everyone looked at her like :wtf:

But I was really sad even though I never really listened to his music

I was at Glastonbury and at first wrote it off to the standard site-wide hoax that someone famous has died which do the rounds every year.
