a-chan
It's just one of the mysteries of life... I don't understand either why they don't play it or haven't release it as a single.... It could have been a huge hit to me....v.v
giulls
yes it's true..they play this song hardly ever..i dont know why..

coldplayisawesome
it's super sexy. :wacky: maybe they think it's "too sexy"?
Corkus
Well, they are admittedly stuffing almost all of VLV onto their setlist, and even if it's the VLV Tour, they need it varied. Not that I wouldn't love to hear "Yes" or anything, but it's not a song I'd swap some of the other songs for. it's super sexy. :wacky: maybe they think it's "too sexy"? Isn't that what Chris said about Lhuna? "Too sexy" to put on the album or something.
coldplayisawesome
Isn't that what Chris said about Lhuna? "Too sexy" to put on the album or something. yeah, Lhuna was "too sexy" for the album. so maybe Yes is too sexy to play live?
noonsun
Probably it just murders Chris' voice, that's all...
KEEK1
they played it eariler in the tour but not so much now
coldplaykb
They are trying to change up the set list. Make more room for other songs. They played it durring the first leg of the tour.
mrman78
Yeah, I noticed at last year's show in Houston, the only songs they DIDN'T play from VLVODAAHF was 'Yes' and 'Reign of Love'. Now they've also cut 'Chinese Sleep Chant'. I also find it weird they have cut 'Speed of Sound' completely from the set - that's one of their more familiar hits! Oh well, at least they change it up a bit...
Mimixxx
Let me just give them a call and ask :wacky:
theloveless
Well... it's not really a "live"-song is it. I mean, it's good, but the whole sound is very studio, very much production. And also, I don't think that the averege Coldplay concert-goer likes this song very much. The least accessible song on the album if you ask me. Or maybe they just don't like it very much. Debs Wild
They tried it out before the tour started and decided to leave it off setlist as it wasn't the easiest song to translate to the live shows. They performed it a couple of times but as it wasn't 'easy', it was dropped again. Shame as it's my favourite!!
shesawsparks
Maybe we should ask the Oracle :idea2:

pickle
it's super sexy. :wacky: maybe they think it's "too sexy"?  @Kyle- so they DID play it for the first leg of the tour? but...why not continue? it's such a great song, and, honestly, it's one of my favorites! :wacky: we COULD ask the oracle...:\ :P  :dozey: :D!! :hat:
MasoKnight
I never though Yes sounded all that amazing live, aside from the end. CoL, which more or less took its place, sounds loads better. The better question is why they stopped playing CSC, which sounds brilliant live.
mrman78
The better question is why they stopped playing CSC, which sounds brilliant live. Now that I think about it, maybe they dropped CSC because there were too many instrumental tracks in the show? LiT, 42, CSC, Death and All His friends are all more instrumental? Or maybe they realised they were pretty much playing the whole album other than 'Yes' and 'Reign of Love', so it's more variety?
Twizted Logik
could be too hard on Chris's voice
l0wxo2
I heard them play it in Vegas in July of last year and it was amazing :) definitely one of my favorites off the album and I wish they played it more.

I count myself lucky to have heard them do it at their first Boston Garden gig. It had already been dropped from the set list by the time I saw them do their return show there. Sleep
The better question is why they stopped playing CSC, which sounds brilliant live. YES! It sounded amazing live. It was rather hard for Chris to sing though, maybe that was why. Or maybe it was just because they felt not many people liked it :\
BAM_87
I'd say it would be hard for Chris' voice. bt he sounds so good when he sings them both. Bring back CSC, its so awesome when Chris plays his electric.
LoversInJapan
They don't play it anymore, because I don't like the song:smug::laugh3: I don't really mind that they don't play it, but it is strange... We'll see in the stadiumgigs..
