Maybe the idea is that they send a huge fan of one band to see a different band... 'cos if they sent you to see your favourite, of course you'd give them a good review

It's still been badly run though... very confusing!

looks like it will be a two horse race in the final - Coldplaying vs Muselive.

:uhoh: we're gonna have to do better than what we did for the 1st round people! Not an easy battle...

For all the other rounds I didn't bother reading the stories... I just voted for the band that had the smallest following in the hope we wouldn't have stiff competition :laugh3:

Aw feck!

Who knew Bombay Bicycle Club had so many fans? :stunned:

I would imagine the final (if there is one) won't start until at least the 26th September.

it can't start before the 20th Sept, coz someone has a Coldplay gig to report on

This competition confuses me :dizzy:

and when voting begins our fans will be voting for U2 and not Coldplay. Weird!

I think it confuses the people at Absolute too :P

I'll giggle if we beat them yet again.

U2 and Kite

against Coldplay and someone from the Bombay Bicycle Club

against some other entries

At some point when the voting for the final starts, just remind me so i can get campaigning for votes :)

UPDATE: 7TH SEPTEMBER 2009

New competition open prior to the Live Stories final. Win £1500!!

Don't forget to add http://www.coldplaying.com in your submission or we won't be able to help promote your entry!!!

ENTER NOW: http://www.absoluteradio.co.uk/music/live/stories/competition.html

Tell us about your favourite live music act and win up to £1500.

Our Live Stories competition has been a great success so far, but we want more of your live music experiences. And by telling us who your favourite live act is, and why, you can win up to £1500.

Write up to 300 words about your favourite live act, and you’ll be entered into the public voting. At the end of the competition, the top three stories will win cash, with 1st place getting £1,500, 2nd place £1000 and 3rd place £500. And the voting starts as soon as your story is published on the site, so the sooner you enter the competition, the more time you have to get everyone you know to vote for you!

On top of this, you can also pledge your allegiance to your favourite music forum, and the forums with the most popular entries will go through to a grand final with the winners of our first four rounds to have the chance to create a virtual festival radio show on Absolute Radio.

Entries close on September 25th, 2009.

The new competition is silly, the entry limit is way too short, and you have to live in the UK! :(

Yeah I didn't realise that until I've finished writing mine..:(

Absolute Radio is failing epically at this one.
