Tnspieler1012
lol'd I lol'd too Josh man, people should not go broke just cause they get sick. Surely you don't believe that. "I believe that all people should be able to go to a doctor if they are sick and not have to pay for it. I do not believe that people should have to pay out of pocket for surgeries, medicines, etc..." So the doctor who spends hours trying to save your life in surgery doesn't deserve anything for the effort? Healthcare isn't a right, its a service. Matter-Eater Lad
Health Care is such a mess because of Government interference, if we let the Free Market work it would be a lot cheaper and better. Just like with Energy the government gets it grubby greedy hands in there and messes up the market and plays favoritism and creates a huge mess, we have to pay for. Tnspieler1012
+2 The only concern I have, which inspired my gaffe in the last page, is that its sort of a sickness industry. Hospitals make more money as the health of average americans continues to decline. Then again it ultimately comes down to individual choices, but disconcerting nonetheless. Saffire
Weaning people off a government monopoly is difficult. It's like teaching a child to ride a bike without training wheels, "But what if I fall? What if I run into something? What if, what if, what if?" But in the end you ride a lot faster and have more fun.

What if you had no money and desperately needed a surgery that you could not afford that would save your life? Should you die because of that? Of course not. And by the way...doctors in Canada make plenty of money even though their patients do not pay for their services...the government does.

Matter-Eater Lad
They pay a lot less than we do for our private healthcare. Aaron, Name me some government programs that aren't hemorrhaging money and doing well. Do our politicians use government health care? How can we afford it? The government can't even run Restaurants on capitol hill(the come up negative each year) how the fuck could they run health care for a nation? Every government programs hemorrhages money and large amounts go to corruption, so how would it work?

People working in the Health Care industry actually make significantly less money in nations with nationalized heal care. There's shortages of nurses in all of them because the job doesn't pay enough.
