Which albums are fascinating you at the moment? You know the ones that you've just bought or ones that have gathered dust on your shelves until you decided to give it a go and think "hmmmm not bad after all!"

 

I know it might seem weird tbut having bought I decided to give a try of U2's Pop recently and I'm slightly addicted to it now. When I thought it was sub standard I now think it's a very good album. I'm probably fascinated by it because of the sheer difference of their whole 90s sound to that of the rockier 2000s work, atmospherics of Unforgettable Fire, Joshua Tree era and their post punk sound in the early 80s. Sure no way near as good as most their other albums but at the same time I think it's underrated.

I got into this band, Delta Spirit, last month and I think their entire album, Ode To Sunshine, has easily become my summer soundtrack.

I don't think U2 are under or overrated. They pretty much get the attention they deserve. But Pop certainly is an underrated album. Usually only hardcore U2 fans appreciate it. I love it, too.
