I find it quite fascinating, because you're mainly reading digital characters which are desrcibing a person...

I think it's great :D

I've never heard of it happening..............

Yeah it's great if you can find one of YOUR "SOUL MATE"s over the internet and fell in love with (whatever that means. love

s a complex thingy):cheesy:

I actually know that some people that have met on this board are living together now. assumably happy.

and I don't see why it couldn't work. not always obviously but yeah..

You have been here since 2005... and i already know a few cases :S

I know of some cases of people falling in love via forums :)

i think it's not a good idea :\

IMO of course

Can someone drop some names please?

Sick people with no social life...

it could happen i guess... i've heard of some people falling in love and such also... where's the "it's okay and it could possibly work" option...

why do you want names?

Where's your siggy pic form, Ella?

from one of my favourite films, Kieslowski's A Short Film About Love. :)

I do also think it can work...I mean if you have the chance to meet and then you can fall in love...I do not really think you can fall in love before you've met...so you can get to know each other on a forum and find out if you could be interested in each other and then meet...

from one of my favurite films, Kieslowski's A Short Film About Love. :)

I've seen only Trois Couleurs: Bleu by him and absolutely loved it. But this should be interesting, thanks! :)

To answer the question:

It can work, yes. But it doesn't happen instantly nor it should :)

For the record, me and Anita aren't "in love" we just love eachother very much. There is a difference. I think.

hum... my aunts think it is a thing of sick people... and bla blah... they be too judgamental about other people's lives :mean:

my opinion be, it could happen and it could work, as you can meet great friends on a board, why not a good friendship will turn to something else in the future, after they meet and all that?

anyways what would i say if my parents met through they were pen-friends (stamps collectors) for two years, until they met in person and few months later they got married?

It happens. I mod at a sims forum where one of the other mods fell in love and married a member of our forum. They are quite happy and content.

Had it not been for the internet, indirectly, I would've never met and married my husband.

So...yeah, it happens.
