Does anybody have an estimate of how much the stage build up costs per gig?

Mine would be around €3 million.

Might have cost 3 million per stage to buy, but not to setup

4 days to set it up?

U2 only need the 3 to set up their claws

I asked when they started working in the arena and they told me on Sunday, the concert was on Thursday.

It looked finished on Thursday morning.

So they probably need 3 days to build everything but altogether the venue can't be used for other things for almost a week...

Hope that made sense :)

I am actually referring to the whole cost of putting one concert in one venue plus the costs associated with it.

There are several trucks, roadies, venue costs, plane lease, hotel accomodation, catering, transportation, taxes, etc etc.

They wont have to pay for a stage everytime though

Didnt the roadie blog say they have 3 stage set ups overlapping eachother as they travel?

The simplicity of this stage they could probably set it up in 2 days

It would of been cool to see them have a bigger meaner stage for Wembley and the UK dates but i cant see it happening

Does anyone have a pic of the inside of the Wembley stadium, that shows seats and the field part?

Is that what you want ? Though it's hard to realize how huge the stadium is

Thanks very much Perrine:), that's exactly it!! Where will you be in this huge place? Did you get standing?

I saw this huge stage in Düsseldorf

Hopefully I'll be just in front of the boys... Anyway, IN DA PIT ! :D

Kite, wow, that is a great shot, the place is huge, but it's going to be great!!! Wish I knew where I will be, won't know until 4pm gig day.

and u2's stage is humongous and look, it hardly clears the advertising screens half way up

plus coldplay's stage wont come out as much as that!

I imagine it to be similar to Oasis, which was like this

Cept coldplay's stage is smaller than that aswell!

These pictures kinda gives you a glimpse of how big wembley is

Fleas on a dinosaur:laugh3:

They did say in that Q article that they'd done their research on Wembley though, so maybe they do have something up their sleeves.

We'll see soon enough I guess

The Claw for U2 is huge, taking up almost half of some stadiums, just to put it into perspective for you all.

They defiantly have a trick or two up their sleeves. But probably not a bigger stage.

and also, wheres the C stage going to go in wembley??

Haha, if they'll do it we'll all have some minutes to relax until they're there.

It took some time in Düsseldorf!
