its gonna look tiny in wembley

its gonna look tiny in wembley

I imagine they have something up their sleeves. But even U2's claw looked small in Wembley.

U2's claw was just insane though

I hope Coldplay do have something else planned for wembley but i doubt it

This stage is too high !

I miss the american stages :disappointed:

That it was, the top of the claw didn't even clear the advertisement boards of level 5!

What was the stage like the last time they went on a uk stadium tour?

I believe just a bigger version of their arena stage. Check out Fix You video.

Im scared im going to be really dissapointed with the stage. The Claw was just amazing and the best thing ive ever seen.Im scared im going to be dissapointed in Coldplay after U2.

It has the ideas of Zoo TV. The main stage with two catwalks. One which they go out and preform on.

The TV on the stage. It just kinda stroke me and another U2 fan as Zoo TV meets an arena, meets Coldplay.

The going out into the audience thing is the best part of the tour though! As well most origonal. Some bands go out and play off on a stage in the audience on the floor. But never have I seen a stage in the middle of the stands.

I don't really see the Zoo TV comparisons myself? If anything with the huge screen I would compare it to Popmart if I had to. Anyway most gigs I goto these days you can see where bands have nicked stuff from U2 shows (who I'm sure probably nicked it from elsewhere lol). The Killers especially. Seen U2 last week in Glasgow and it was the best show I've ever been to. Next gig is Coldplay at Hampden and if its even half as good as their first Glasgow show in December then its gonna be totally amazing! :)

i think the screen (not the stage) is very similiar to U2's popmart...

Beat me to it lol :)

I loved the Kings of Leon set (although my mate said at one point it reminded him of The X Factor lol). They keep it simple and let the music do the talking :)

Oh yikes, Wembley is going to dwarf it

Does anybody have an estimate of how much the stage build up costs per gig?

Mine would be around €3 million.

3 millions PER gig ? No that's not possible :stunned:

same thing here

You have to conside however that they need quite a long time to set it up and 4 days before the gig no events can happen in that place and it takes another day at least to disassemble it again!

I have no idea how to estimate the costs though!

And I love the stage!

It's so great with the huge screens and movement of lights and the magic balls and... I can only say that I liked it...

Anyway you're not here for the stage, and I'm sure you won't think about that anymore as soon as LiT starts :P
