Why Has Coldplay Become

Featured Replies

How sad, Coldplay started like a band compared to the Beatles, and now they're being compared to MCR.

To make things a bit better, The Beatles too had a lot of screaming fangirls who would climb fences or faint or do other more extreme stuffs during their shows.. :P

I don't think coldplay is a band for teenage girls... But if you compare the attendance at concerts to a foo fighters show, you see more girls then boys at a coldplay show :P But the girls who are at those foo fighters shows they are screaming too.

But if you compare Coldplay to The Fray or John Mayer than you'll now that Coldplay isn't really a band for screaming teenage girls :D

I just went to one concert but I did not have the impression that there were a lot of teenie girls. There were so many mixed people, maybe a bit more females than males. Lots of them in their 20s or 30s, but also a lot of them in their 40s and even a bunge of children. Right by my side there was a very small girl with her mother, I think she was only 6 or 7. She was so light that her folding seat took her up:lol: - I think she was just too young for a concert.

^ Same at the concert I went to. But, there were a lot of older people. Ranging from 50-60 years old. There was actually a woman that looked to be in her 70's. But, then again, there were teenagers and people mostly in their mid 20's-30's.

At my first concert, I was 3.

Anyhoo, Coldplay being compared to MCR?! I think I'm going to kill myself now. Oh, and I personally am kind of creeped out by EXTREME fangrisl. But the non-crazy ones are pretty nice. But that's just my opinion. *leaves thread*

Interviewer: You've never been the kind of band that would bludgeon people with brute guitar force or whatever.

Chris: Well, on a very basic level when you're onstage on tour, the sound of all boys applauding and shouting is not as nice as the sound of lots of boys and lots of girls all at the same time. And when you're looking out from the stage and there's lots of girls there, that's the greatest thing in the world.

oh, and, I'm a teenage girl, and I'm a fan, so I guess you could call me a fangirl. but fangirl doesn't necessarily mean that I don't care about the music, and I only care about how hot they are. not true. fangirls are just fans... that are girls, as I see it. I appreciate the depth of their music as much as a 30 year old man as far as I'm concerned. maybe more.

or do you just feel weird that you like a band that teenage girs like... because that shouldn't be the case. everyone should like coldplay. I don't know why they wouldn't.

A group for teenage girls to scream at? I remember way back at the beginning teenage girls would have gone nowhere near Coldplay because they were indie and quite dark and heavy. Now theyre almost like the new Backstreet Boys-what is going on? Im scared when i go to their upcoming concert im going to be surrounded by fainting girls!

Well, I'm not really even a teenage girl yet, but I know what your trying to say. :shame:

All the girls I know hate Coldplay because they like Chris Brown and Fall Out Boy and Green Day or whatever. I like them a little bit, but not much at all.:shifty:

I stick with country and Codplay.:laugh3:
