So I'm seriously considering getting a tattoo of the lrlrl butterfly on either my wrist, foot, or side/back. I'm not sure if I would get a color or just black... but since I love Coldplay AND butterflies I think this would be great! Any ideas/feedback?

That's a really good Idea.

You like both Coldplay and butterflies.

So if you happen to someday dislike Coldplay or move on without them, that beautiful butterfly won't really bother you. :blush:

But if you come to someday hate butterflies your screwed. :uhoh:

If you're going to get it, yeah, I think the wrist is a good idea. If it's on your back people are more likely to think it's some weird sexual thing, and I hear getting them on your feet hurts like a mother.

I think wrist is probably the best.... but I could hide it easier on my foot if I ever had to ;)

I don't think people would take seeing a tattoo of a stylized butterfly the same way they'd take other easily visible tattoos, though. Or maybe that's just how people I know would act about a tattoo like that. Idk what kind of place you live in.

if you're not sure about color/black, you could just get the outline for now, decide if you like it that way. You can always go back and have it filled in later. :)

I'm planning on getting the butterfly tattoo as well, and can't quite decide where. I would love it on my wrist, BUT I'm a woman of a certain age, and working in the corporate world, and I must be able to hide it easily.

 

And even if you someday tire of Coldplay, I don't think you'll ever tire of the tattoo you got because of them, since it will remind you of your positive state of mind at the time you first made it a permanent part of yourself. That's always been my philosophy when I get inked. (Because being of a certain age and having to hide my tattoos hasn't stopped me six times previously....)

OMG SNAP! I am in exactly the same boat! See the other thread re tats..Im going to have one that I can hide with my watch while Im at work. Im deffo heading down the butterfly road too with Coldplay in-corporated somehow...

Do it! The good thing is, even if your love for Coldplay fades away (psh, as if that would ever happen...), you'll still have a beautiful butterfly. Everyone loves butterflies!

really? :\ if I were to ever get one, that's where I've thought of putting it..

but the wrist is a good idea since it can be really noticeable, and at the same time, it isn't if you wear a watch, or bracelets, or whatever.

I might, again, MIGHT get some LRLRL butterflies like, floating away on my wrist. :wacko:
