it refers to what ricardo?

arts in general, any art in particular?

we are learning about classical and baroque in my intro to music class!

I'm loving the baroque era.

I love Antonio Vivaldi.

Everything but literature Ari, don't know how can a book be considered baroque or classical other than the time it was written

Classical. bach was a genius but the terraced moods and dynamics always left me underwhelmed by its ability to express the way beethoven and mozart did in their works. I do love the use of polyphony though. Brandenburg concerto, canon in D, and the four seasons is brilliant, but after a while it all feels a bit dry and formulaic.

"If it's not baroque, then don't fix it."

Sorry, I had to quote that line from Beauty and the Beast. :D

The only classical I like is Mozart. I consider Beethoven more on the romanticism, though. But that's just about music, becayse there's nothing higher and more beautiful than any baroque bulding with baroque paintings

*facepalm*

EDIT:

I wasn't aware there was a smiley now.

Damn, it isn't the facepalm smilie I suggested. Sniff.

Classical. I think in general classical music has more emotional complexity.

Romantic. :p

Ah, I love Baroque music- in the right quantities at the right time. Otherwise it makes me kind of hyper. But I love the depth and layers that the counterpoint makes. It's like watching whole worlds open up in your mind.

I was raised on classical music in the broad sense but for some reason could never really get in to classical-era music the way I could Romantic-era music. I guess it was just too fussy for me.

Classical ftw.

Romantic. :p

THIS.

Romantic music is my favorite era of classical. It's so emotional, and it just touches me in ways that the other eras can't.

That wasn't the question, though. At any rate, I prefer Baroque to Classical. Classical seems to structured and, I guess, "plain" for my tastes. I can't really think of how else to describe.
