Most philosophy is just mental gymnastics, but the important (applicable) branches are Objectivism and Praxeology. From these we can find "universally preferable behavior", which is a rational foundation for secular ethics. So whether you're an Atheist, or Muslim, or Christian, there are universally-applicable ethics you must follow or risk being illogical.
