Live Stories FINAL preparation! (How you can help)

Voting for Coldplaying.com (Dave/U2) in the Live Stories FINAL begins on Monday 28th September... Win a festival-themed Absolute Radio broadcast for the forum!

Voting will be taking place at http://www.absoluteradio.co.uk/livestories

The voting will be open from tomorrow (Monday 28th September until Friday 2nd October), and the winner will be announced on Monday 5th October. The winning forum will get to create a festival-themed radio show from Absolute Radio’s live music library. This will then be broadcast on Absolute Radio.

There's nothing like being prepared and the whole Coldplaying community will need to be on top form in this final, you may remember that we did our best in the Rock off semis and got pipped by less than half a %!

  1. Maybe someone (who still has an account) could post at greendaycommunity.org and U2.com or Interference.com to canvas for some votes (if they accept and we win we could donate one song from the broadcast line up to Green Day and U2 live! :))

  2. Each day share the voting links with all your friends on Facebook, Twitter etc. RT ColdplayingHQ's tweets and Facebook messages would also be a great way to spread the word! :D

  3. Put the voting banners in your signatures, blogs, myspace pages etc - there's a whole host of them at http://www.absoluteradio.co.uk/music/live/stories/resources.html - but keep an eye out for some Coldplaying ones if someone can help make them :)

I have asked Julie if she minds making some Coldplaying-specific Live Stories banners and buttons but in the meantime if anyone is able to combine these banners with these with Dave/U2 somewhere in it then please let me know, the more the merrier :)

If anyone else has any ideas on how to get as many votes as possible please let everyone hear about them. Lets get this bloody thing won! :D

Im on it! :)

me too... I'll help by making adverts for it... get friends to vote ;)

I'm in, I'll draft an email to the various Coldplay peeps if you like :)

Vote for me, and I will award you with cookies!

Vote for me, and I will award you with cookies!

You're on :D

:P

The links don't take us to the place to vote? Its to the old comp that I was in....

I don't really get it either. I think there were more rounds and David won a previous one and Jenny won the last one. Now they are both in the finals, with a couple of others.

Voting begins at 5pm BST! Vote for DAVID SHEPPERD when the page goes live :D

Huh?
Exactly...

But this is how I understood it:

You have to separate that live story stuff to two sides:

- On the one hand there was the inital competition that Chavi has won with her entry. Actually she should have gone to see U2 @ Wembley last month. She gave her tickets to Dave however so it was him who wrote a review.

Those were the rules: If you win in the competition you get tickets for another event and have to write a review of that concert as well which goes into a further competition.

There were 4 different concerts to win, Chavi won one of them, Dave went instead and wrote a review. So he competes with 3 other people now and the voting for that will start some time today.

- Then on the other hand Absolute Radio chose to make another competition with shorter entries of up to 300 words where you can win cash instead.

This was the one that Jen, Lucy and maybe Julie won!

So the second thing with up to 300 words is over now... and the "grand finale" of the initial competition is coming up!

We have to vote for Dave on behalf of CPing.com to win that:

The winning story will get a radio show where the winner creates a virtual music festival. The winner will select live tracks from Absolute Radio’s library to be played during a special on-air show.

If I understood that wrong - please correct me!

Vote for me, and I will award you with cookies!

I'm here to claim my cookies.

I prefer the almond ones if it's possible..

but it is under chavi right? so we are voting for Chavi...

Okay, I think I got it...except I voted for Chavi.....sooooo, will those votes transfer to Dave or do we need to re-vote.

SueDeNimes: Thank you for explaining it all so well, because I - and many with me, I suppose - was very confused! :)

I would like to know whether JulieJulle officially ended up as no. 3 (probably sharing that final position with someone else). Lucy ended up as no. 2 - CONGRATULATIONS. :)

And now I am going to vote for David and his U2 review on behalf of Coldplaying.com to hopefully win the "grand finale" of the initial competition! :)

^^ Coldplay-Karma.

Excellent :)

Vote for me/Chavi :)
