deaths_friend
sort of happy with this years countdown. not really a mumford and sons fan. would of preferred Phoenix at no.1. had 5 of my votes make it in and every artist i voted for had at least one song in the countdown. deaths_friend
I just had a look at it. Whilst I love 90% of the songs on that list, its in a terrible order. then again how often do you come across a public poll where you love 90% of the choices. i think this hottest 100 is much much better than last years even though 2008 was a stronger year overall in music. ive absolutely love art vs science's brand of mindless electro beats so i was positively surprised to see them soo high up. over the moon about Lisa getting a top 10. phoenix and florence are very deserving of their great performances in this years poll. biggest surprise for me was the number of songs Flight of the Conchords got in the countdown. i felt that their new stuff was fairly average. on the other hand animal collective was played by the station consistently throughout the year but only managed a low rank for My Girls. You're spot on! I was really surprised with how many Flight Of The Conchords got in! Also, Florence and The Machine got a lot of love (lol no pun intended) from the voters. deaths_friend
^Do they do that on purpose or just a coincidence? i guess its just the way the station is. you're simply not exposed to top 40 tracks when you listen to triple j. so naturally when the listeners vote the results reflect that. last year there was a concern that alot of mainstream fans who are casual listeners were voting but that fact proves that a great majority of the 130 000 voters are genuine alternative music lovers. Cobalt
First single from Evermore's new self-titled compilation/album. For the sake of not referring to it as Evermore self-titled I have given it the nickname EverMOAR, even if it now apparently only has 3 new songs. Also includes Light Surrounding You, Hey Boys and Girls, Running, It's Too Late, a bonus DVD filmed in London with tour doco and, of course, MOAR. Presenting, Underground. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLVnc8Wo8OY]YouTube- Evermore - Underground[/ame] (personally I can't get the damn thing to play but my computer strangely hates YouTube now ) It also now has a release date, March 12th. Which is totally, like, the day before my concert :awesome:
