Birds of Tokyo and Art vs Science and The Jezabels will be playing Triple J's One Night Stand later in the year.

If it were anywhere near me, I would totally go.

If they ever did any near me, every bogan in a hundred mile radius would go. In saying that, I think it is near impossible that it would happen.

I'll end up seeing Miike Snow but I'm not sure if he's very good live (he got some pretty average reviews after Splendour). WILL BE AWESOME :awesome:

^ can't help you there, I'm afraid, I'm just as dumbfounded in their sudden stardom in the world of live music as you are. I never thought too much of their recorded material to be honest, anyway.

 

I'm also going to try and cut back on the number of gigs I go to for that same reason! The Holidays were really cheap but I've already knocked back Sparkadia and Seabellies shows :(

Good vibes surprised me how good it was. Friendly fires were massive, they played about 6 new tunes which sound epic. The ting tings were great, the chick came hugged us in the front row. Their new material sounds awful, sadly. Miike snow were good, I was front row for that and Phoenix. They surprised me with their awesome remix of VW's 'kids don't stand a chance'.

 

But Phoenix were always going to amaze. No new songs, just a set with all but 4 songs from Wolfgang amadeus. They played 'rally' and I officially lost my shit. They are such a great pop band and lizstomania sent the place ballistic.

I'm really looking forward to hearing FF's new stuff!! I'll make sure to check out Miike Snow too.

 

It was a good festival last year too, it just seems to attract so many bogans.

We had no bogans! And I paid half price = Massive win.

I can still have hope then! :awesome:
