Big Jet Plane and We Speak No Americano should be 2 certainties in the top 10. but i haven't listened to triple j much this year so i'm not the best judge.

#43

This is interesting, I was expecting it to be higher. I'm glad it's not though, not a real fan of this song.

wooo it only gets better.

just found out Owen Pallett will be the support act for Sufjan at the opera house!! now im seriously excited :D

FUCK YOU. This show is on my birthday too :(

Oh well, at least I get to see Sufjan :bigcry:

^^Same here.

After 64 songs passed so far, only 2 song on my list have been played. What was everyone's list this year? Here was mine.

Angus And Julia Stone - Big Jet Plane

Arcade Fire - Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)

National, The - Bloodbuzz Ohio

Tame Impala - Solitude Is Bliss

Sufjan Stevens - I Walked

Sleigh Bells - Tell 'Em

Kanye West - Runaway {Ft. Pusha T}

Foals - Spanish Sahara

Crystal Castles - Baptism

Cloud Control - There's Nothing In The Water We Can't Fight

Doncamatic beating out all the other Gorillaz songs... didn't see that coming. #37. Not too shabby.

I lost my list... Bloodbuzz Ohio, Ready To Start and Spanish Sahara were definately on there though.

Yeah doncamatic is just so pop though

this is what i voted for

SUFJAN STEVENS - All Delighted People,

CRYSTAL CASTLES - Baptism, @No.44

KANYE WEST - Monster {Ft. JAY-Z, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj, Bon Iver}, @No. 88

JONSI - Animal Arithmetic,

THE NATIONAL - England,

HOT CHIP - One Life Stand, @ No. 50

GORILLAZ - Stylo {Ft. Bobby Womack and Mos Def}, @no.78

ARCADE FIRE - We Used To Wait,

LCD SOUNDSYSTEM - Dance Yrself Clean,

FOALS - Afterglow

here is how home grown acts have gone in the past

2009 - 36 songs

2008 - 48 songs

2007 - 52 songs

2006 - 42 songs

i think we've already had about 39 aussie songs so far.

over 155 000 people voted this year!! that is truly incredible for a supposedly "alternative" radio station playing non-chart music. i dont think any of the mainstream stations would ever be able to create a loyal following of that size.

and im pretty sure this remains the biggest annual music poll in the world.

wow jezabels in at no.16! gotta be one of the highest ranks ever for a band who dont even have an album out. but that will probably be beaten by duck sauce in a few minutes.

we're up to 43 aussie songs now. only 9 short of the all time record!

no.494

MA BOI YEEZY!! good to see him right near the top of the hottest 100 with runaway. could Power possibly make it even higher?

  • Author

whoops miscalculated. this is actually no.496

soooo happy cee lo green didnt get no.1!!

Thank fuck Cee-Lo isn't #1. I hate that song.

I'm gonna call it now. Plans by Birds Of Tokyo will be #1.

Now watch me be very, very wrong.

no.497

i really hope you are mate. i loved birds of tokyo up to this album but they've completely lost me

Boy&Bear in at no.5 with their brilliant cover of Fall At Your Feet. no complaints here.

Boy and Bear #5? Wow. Now I have to rethink my top 5.

Plans - Birds Of Toyko

Rock It - Little Red

Dance The Way I Feel - Ou Est Le Swimming Pool

Big Jet Plane - Angus And Julia Stone

Drunk Girls - LCD Soundsystem

Either Ou Est Le Swimming Pool or LCD Soundsystem wont make it. I recon we're looking at an Aussie #1!

I hope that Little Red don't get it. I like them but that song is way too pop.

So there will be no Drunk Girls. Fine. All Aussie top 2. I'm guessing Angus+Julia #2.

Big Jet Plane strkies me as too mellow to be #1. I could be wrong, but it seems like Rock It has more of a #1 potential.

But then I just called Plans as #1 so I'll probably be wrong again.
