I'm always losing stuff

Featured Replies

Like, constantly. I left my $100 completely brand-spanking-new chem textbook in the cafeteria and will probably have to pay for it later. I left my $50 almost-new swim suit at a public pool. I'm always leaving homework in my locker. The only thing I've never lost after having it a month or two is my newish yellow iPod nano, and that's just because I'm always fucking listening to it.

Is there a Compulsive Losing Disorder or something I'm not aware of??

It's OK. I'm a compulsive misplacer.

You should probably chain everything important onto you :D:uhoh:

Nah, jokes aside. Maybe you are just always busy with other thoughts and don't concentrate on your surroundings? So that you forgot what might belong to you?

Some time ago I also lost lots of things, because in my mind I was always preparing the next steps I wanted to make, and left the obviously things out off vision, so that I forgot them. Now I'm concentrating on what is in front of me, or what important thing (s) I have to keep with me, and I'm stopping myself from thinking too much about other stuff.

If that makes any sense to you...

I am too :shame:

-pats on back- 'Tis OK. At least we are not alone.

I very rarely lose anything. All that is required is a little bit of concentration! ;)

That´s not only your problem!!!;)

I often lose things in my backpack.

A friend of mine was looking for her keys quite some time before she finally found them in the fridge ... :dizzy:

I tend to be a control freak so I don't really lose things, but I now the syndrom oh too well ...

Same here! Except I am constantly misplacing my cell phone in my bag.

How in the world do keys end up in a fridge? :inquisitive:

That problem shouldn't be hard to solve. Concentrate. Think about the present and what do you have to do (bring). Also, saying "I need to bring this with me" is VERY different than saying "I mustn't forget this". The first one is a lot more helpful.

I guess she put them there with her shopping and forgot about it ... I don't know, her brain works in mysterious ways. :dizzy:

I lose pretty much everything.....

*sigh* I am the queen of misplacing things. I swear about 50% of the things I own, I don't even know where they are. My sister told me that I'm lucky I have a neck because without it I would lose my head. :dozey:

I lost my money in my wallet once.

Yes. its very contagious :p

I also lost my ring on my finger.......:uhoh:

You poor thing...did you ever find it?

She should have told you that you're lucky your C**t is not detachable. If not, you will lose it. :dozey:

Good ol' adults told us that one and they have a point :dozey:
