(it actually took me a couple days to work up the nerve... puppets...ughh *shudder*... but I'm used to the Coldplay puppets now and they don't scare me at all :nice:)

Violet Hill - first time I saw there 'military' styled outfits which immediately reminded of Kasabian's Empire video, although having seen the Empire video recently I notice that there wasn't much similarity!

 

Hardest Part - kind of weird, but I love the setting and the 80s style video!

 

Viva La Vida - this video was nothing special. Looked like a half hour job.

 

Life In Technicolor II - brilliant! Even Coldplay haters would smile at this!

I might be wrong, but in the LIJ video, I think they were writing with their opposite hands. Chris, Will and Jonny were writing with their left hands, and Guy was writing with his right. I know Guy is a leftie, and I'm assuming the others are righties. If that's the case, then you can tell your friend that they have an excuse for having shitty handwriting in the video, because they are not used to writing with the 'wrong' hand.

I thought it was a flipped, mirror image.

Speed of Sound (1st time I heard the amazing song too, which got me into Coldplay): WOW, that is amazing! :surprised: *blown over* It's so beautiful and artistic with all those colours! I immediately liked the band.

 

Lovers In Japan: :dance: I love it! Chris looks soooo good! :wacky: They all do! The video is just as colourful and joyful as I hoped.

 

Violet Hill: That's dramatic and military, is that their new style? :wtf:

 

Strawberry Swing: That's very very well made, original and creative! :surprised: Amazing. Chris is a superhero, I love it! :dance: (I was rather ecstatic when I saw it the 1st time actually...)

Viva la Viva: That video is not doing anything good for the very beautiful song.

 

LiTII: I loved the video with the puppets - the Coldplay puppets leaving the burning stage!! like that in a helicopter and through the window!! But I was surprised that the Jonny puppet was smashing his guitar as that was not my impression of Jonny or Coldplay to do such a thing.

The Scientist: What an amazing video - the characters moving backwards. Now knowing some facts of that video does not make the video worse - in the contrary. It is a masterpiece and my favourite video - maybe sharing the 1st place with the Strawberry Swing masterpiece video.

 

The Hardest Part: They are all wearing sun glasses - how cool :cool: and sexy they look. :sweatdrop:

Much later I read that Coldplay is playing that song at the same place as the 25-year-old man and 84-year-old lady were performing 19 years before - it is a trick that Coldplay appear to be doing "the Hardest Part" while the young man and the old lady are performing. Very well done indeed. The illusion is total with the black cape being thrown onto the stage where Coldplay is performing and we see the cape landing on the floor behind Guy. Truly amazing!
