Music Video First Thoughts

Featured Replies

My sisters reaction to the Viva la Vida video was one of my favourites.

"Woah, someone's gone made with the photoshop and editting"

I might be wrong, but in the LIJ video, I think they were writing with their opposite hands. Chris, Will and Jonny were writing with their left hands, and Guy was writing with his right. I know Guy is a leftie, and I'm assuming the others are righties. If that's the case, then you can tell your friend that they have an excuse for having shitty handwriting in the video, because they are not used to writing with the 'wrong' hand.

I thought Chris was ambidextrous. Like he writes with his left hand and draws and play guitar with his right?

The Scientist: What lovely blue eyes he has "heart:

Fix You: Chris is a beautiful man. And this is a beautiful song

Viva la Vida: WOOOO WHOOOOPPP!

LiTii: yay puppets!

The Hardest Part: WTF!? But Chris looks hawt

Clocks: cooleo

Violet Hill: awesome

Speed of Sound: ooo lalala!

Viva la Vida: Wow, that guy with the curly hair is cute! *searches for pics*

Fix You: I love how he just bursts into concert mode!

Violet Hill: Okay, I'm getting to really like this band! *Joins Coldplaying*

The Scientist: Is this in reverse?

Talk: The Robot eated them?!? :bigcry:

GPASUYF - :wtf:.......:wtf:

Lovers in Japan: "pretty butterflies! i hope they use this at a concert!"(lol0

Viva La Vida: "thats it? perhaps the greatest song of our decade....and thats it?! DISAPPOINTED!"

Violet Hill: Loving the outfits...loving the new look. Perhaps Chris' pants are a wee bit too tight to walk in that snow...

Speed of Sound: so many liiiiights! *rubs eyes*

Hardest Part: No...just...no.

Talk: LMAO. COLDPLAY GOES TO SPACE!

The Scientist: Best Videoooo....everrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Yellow, The Scientist, Fix You--Chris is....walking

The Hardest Part--ew, guys look good though

GPASUYF- black and white, cool story, guys look stunning in black and white!

The first time I saw the LIJ video I immediately fell in love with the part when they are all sitting around the tv on the floor bobbing up and and down with the music. I still think it's the most adorable thing in the entire video :wacky:

Ha! I actually watched each of these for the first time in a row after seeing the Speed of Sound video (which I thought was beautiful at first watch). I had decided to find out more about this band and this was my exact reaction!

I was like, "What the hell is it with this band and having their lead singer walking? Are they creative at all?" Thank god I liked the songs enough to keep looking and forgave them for this lack of video awesomeness for some of their biggest songs.

The Scientist - Here's the sequence of thoughts I had when I watched this vid for the first time:

"Oooh wow, look at his blue eyes."

"Oh look at his gap teeth! "

"Hmm backwards walking... Interesting..."

"OH NOES HIS GIRLFRIEND ACTUALLY DIED! AND HE WALKED OFF AND WENT TO SLEEP?!!? Nooooooo..."

""

I agree! That was really cute. :nice:

Violet Hill: I couldn't help giggling during Jonny's guitar solo when they're all gathered around the piano and were "violently" bobbing to the beat while Will banged on the keys. It was cute and amusing. So were the few seconds when Guy hopped up and down. :wacky:

When Chris made his mouth bigger with the magnifying glass, I thought, "Wow. That's one of the weirdest, creepiest, and ugliest things I've ever seen."

The Scientist: I was creeped out from the first thirty seconds or so when Chris opens his eyes and stares at the camera.

And no, I don't think Chris is weird-looking now. :P

Agreed. Well maybe a close 2nd to Guy running up the stairs with the light pen behind him. :nice:

Life in technicolor 2 freaked me out.... as for Lovers In Japan.. I fell in love with it!

Strawberry Swing[/color]: That's very very well made, original and creative! Amazing. Chris is a superhero, I love it!

Are you trying to quote me? That's exactly the same thing I wrote, but without the smilies.

I agree with both of you. I saw it and I'm like "This may be the greatest thing I've ever seen." I had to watch it a second time when it finished

Okay, so after everyone's reaction to The Hardest Part video, I just decided to check it out.

First reaction: Who on earth came up with that idea, and how on earth did that get the 'Will Champion Seal of Approval'?!?

Viva la Vida--Ooh paintings! :cheesy: Why does Chris look possessed at some points?

Lovers in Japan--Purdyful! I love the butterflies and the colors and the light markers and their faces and...

God Put A Smile On Your Face--Chris's eyes look gorgeous...And the disappearing is freaky..
