I get that too. I had to make a phone call to Germany for my workplace the other day and I was that nervous that the lady on the phone couldn't even tell that German's my first language. :embarassed:

I'm just not very good at calling people. It doesn't help though, I sometimes forget words when I'm nervous.

Once I ordered pizza for one of my Girl Scout Troops...

... It could have been better... :uhoh:

ehehe Same here...for calling people I don't usually go around with, (ex a doctor, a call center ecc.) I feel uncomfortable

When the one I called picks up the phone and says "Hallo...", I say the first words stammering....I forget who I called...:shocked2: , but after that I speak normally :laugh3:

i had that, and i still do.

i don't answer when calls me someone who i don't know.

i prefer to text people, cause i fear they are driving when i'm calling them, or that they are somewhere where someone can stole their cell phone :uhoh:

when i have to call i prefer do on my cell phone as i have the numbers, because when i have to call putting the numbers i fear i'll be wrong and i be so nervous.

i had to change it when i did my practices, as one of my tasks was to answer the phone for the bosses... first 2 times i couldn't do so properly.

other thing is when i have to call some service which i know is:

a. answered by a machine.

b. answered by a person that behaves as a machine due to they got given the task to follow some pattern strictly.

for do so i need to prepare and have a lot of patience, cause it gets so annoying when some "loop" happens.

e.g. :

speaker: now can you say your ID number.

me says it.

speaker: you said x or y number?

me repeats the right number.

speaker creates a "loop" due to the pattern they've been told to follow, and so keeps asking and saying i said or typed it wrongly. :dozey:

I can't call ANYBODY :shame:

I am the queen of hanging up before I call someone and telling people who called me I have to go, or just not answer them at all.

So did anyone hear about the phonophobic whose condition was so bad a ringing phone scared him to death?

Don't care. :P

I don't believe you. I bet you're dying to know, really...............................

I absolutely hate calling people too.

I like getting calls though. Makes me feel significant :D

Me too,

the only person i like calling is my mom... to ask her to pick me up. :P

Is she a bodybuilder then?

Are you implying i'm fat?

:stunned:

:P

Can she really pick you up?

Can she really pick you up?

 i say she could, but not for long.

And very awkwardly, i'm slightly taller than her.

I'll try tomorrow when i see her :D

:laugh3:

"Hey mom, some random dude on the internet thinks you're strong enough to pick me up, wanna see if he's right?"
