It won't. People will gradually lose interest. The Lounge doesn't have enough sustenance to last, and few new members will be joining as the band is no longer operational. People will get bored and leave, as there will be no new Coldplay material to spark up interest every now and then. A few people (Mark) will attempt in vain to keep the board alive, eating up all their time and causing severe anti-social behaviors. The few who do fall into this trap will go on several shooting sprees as their depression worsens, resulting in the accidental death of a presidential candidate. This will cause that party to lose hope, leading to a landslide victory for the opposition. This new leader will evoke so much power that they will amend the US Constitution to allow special powers to the president, thus creating a dictatorship in America. Fellow world leaders will grow envious of their contemporary's glory, and the wave of Machiavellian style leaders will spread across the Earth like a wildfire, until the point comes where all society has broken down from their government, creating world wide panic. The new Russian-Chinese alliance, fearing mutinous acts, will launch several attacks of air fighters and bombs into the hearts of the world's most important countries, creating a postapocalyptic world. In the end, Saffire (an avid anarchist) will be trapped in a large ditch with Mark (who survives strictly on dumb luck) and will pass the time between horrid apocalypse-related puns by banging his head into the ground, killing the brain cells that retain memory.

If you don't read all that, just read the first sentence and the last sentence. You'll get the gist of it.

People might become so bored here that they begin harassing noobs and spamming each others' profiles... OH WAIT.

edit: oh and I forgot massively spamming up the lounge. :awesome:

I just notice the vast amount of people who have come and gone on this forum. Sometimes I talk to old boardies when I briefly log on MSN and its always the same thing, just bored of Coldplay, have no interest in posting here, its more to do with the band then the board.

  • 6 months later...

i haven't read the thread but there are plenty of messageboards for bands who have spilt up. i've been on joy division and smiths messageboards. and i myself do not particularly like coldplay but i am here. there is always something to talk about.

if coldplay split up there would be plenty to talk about for a few years after, even if it was confined to topics on the band.
