Lost: Season 6 (The Finale) [OFFICIAL THREAD]

^That is a really good theory. I like it.

Interesting to know that there's someone in the flash sideways who might know more about what happened to the island. I wonder if the sideways Ben will start running into people he might remember...

I've heard this is the best show of all time so I think I'm going to have to start watching this. Do you guys think it's to late?

^^Uhh... YES.

I missed last night's episode because my power went out! But it's On Demand, so I'm going to watch it as soon as I get home.

^That is a really good theory. I like it.

It's wrong though. Ben doesn't know what a candidate is, let alone know there are rules about killing them.

I know I keep saying it, but...the AR is if Jacob didn't influence their lives, it's been seen that he made them do things they wouldn't normally have done, turned them into selfish people, ruined their lives just to get them to the island. Jacob made Ben evil etc. Jacob is not necessarily a "good" man.

With regards to the whole Richard-death thing. I think you can only die when Jacob lets you, once you've been touched. He let Michael die once he had redeemed himself for what he had done on the island. I know we've only seen a few people be touched by Jacob, but it's safe to assume he's done more with the massive list of candidates.

I actually like Richard again after this episode, before it he just seemed like he was there for the sake of it, now you can see his pain and torment of his supposedly "wasted" life, I think he'll find purpose again though.

Ilana is still a massive mystery, how did she have such a close relationship to Jacob and how does she already know so much about everything going on?

Also, where the fuck is Sawyer?

Uh... Ben was the leader of the others. High ranking others all seem to know something about candidates. And since when had Ben ever let people know what he does or doesn't know without good reason? Knowledge is his power.

Also' date=' where the fuck is Sawyer?[/quote']Keeping the home fires burning on the other island? Or some crazy mission for Locke. But he's probably just reading a book somewhere.

Hmmm... I see what you're saying, but I see the death thing a little differently. Maybe I'm taking it too literally, but I thought Richard meant that he couldn't kill himself; not that he couldn't die. He wanted Jack to light the dynamite so it would be someone else killing him. Jack was not afraid to do it, because if what Richard said was true, he knew he wouldn't die either- he wouldn't be able to kill himself because Jacob had touched him.

I do agree with your theory about the AR. It's their lives w/out interference from Jacob. It's interesting to see how some of their lives are vastly different; while others only marginally.

do you think Ilana is like Richard? Has been around a loooooong, long time?

oh, and another interesting idea I read on that forum: What if the candidate is not Sun or Jin, but Baby Kwon??

Well Michael was suicide too, but you can't die until it's your time.

I don't think Ilana is like Richard.

"Baby" Kwon is called Ji Yeon, people were going crazy about that idea on Lostpedia, they are idiots, it's definitely Jin.

I do agree that Jacob's influence on people turned them into being selfish people by how their personalities are different in the alternate reality.

So then if you can't die until it's you're time is that to say that since Jack, Hurley, Sawyer and others were touched by Jacob that essentially they are invincible?!?!

As for Sawyer at first I thought that he was at the others camp, but then I remembered we saw him in the jungle. I dunno, perhaps he'll just pop up somewhere.

What do you guys think about Widmore making an appearance at the end? of course there's no way to know what will happen, but do you have an speculation/ideas?

Sawyer was in the cave with Smokey last we saw him, my point was just I want to see that story developed more

Widmore is making his play for the island.

So, let me just say one thing.

If Jack had killed Richard, he would've become my least favorite character.

Thankfully, he didn't. But I thought he was going to for a second there. And that would've meant that all my favorite characters die (first Locke, then Richard). Richard's officially my favorite alive character. Locke used to be. :disappointed:

But what an interesting episode! So Ben still went to the island... but it's under water now. We still need to figure out how the hell that happened.

I hope he finds out Alex is his daughter, but he probably won't, since it's a different reality.

Hm. Interested for next week.

EDIT: Oh, and is Ben dark now? Locke/the Smoke Monster talked to him, but then he turned nice. So maybe he was already dark?

So many theories. :rolleyes::P

What the fuck are you talking about? She's not actually his daughter...she is Rousseau's daughter

EDIT: Oh, and is Ben dark now? Locke/the Smoke Monster talked to him, but then he turned nice. So maybe he was already dark?

Ever since he saw Locke back alive and "Alex" talk to him under the temple he's been a different man

So, let me just say one thing.

I forgot about the island-under-water-thing. Interesting. Also, were Rousseau and Alex ever on the island? We know Ben and his dad were, but left.

I don't think Ben is "dark". I think he's being seeing all this crazy shit and nothing is turning out the way he thought/was told it would. After this episode I *want* to believe he's good (well, as "good" as he can be, anyway), but

Ever since he saw Locke back alive and "Alex" talk to him under the temple he's been a different man

:dozey: was that really necessary?

and when did Alex talk to him under the temple and what did she say? I have a horrible memory and really can't remember what happened there. Was that when he was confronted by smokey?

:dozey: was that really necessary?

Just ignore him. I've learned to just filter out any immature comments that come my way.

I don't remember what Alex said to him in the temple... that's a really good question.

Alex said to Ben in the temple that he must follow and do what Locke says or else she/the smoke monster will kill him.

Looking forward to tonight's episode... it's supposed to be a sawyer-centric episode so we'll finally know what he's been up to.

Also I can't believe that after next weeks episode we'll already be 1/2 way through the season.

YESSSSSSSS :cheesy:

I've been looking forward to this for a looooooooooooong time. :D

:bigcry:

Tonight is meant to be meh, just so you don't get too excited. Its ratings weren't much better than the Kate-centric (they got a load of people to rate the first half of the season, the highest rating was the Richard-centric which I am pant-shittingly excited for)

I'm already excited. :disappointed:

But the last Sawyer centric was pretty meh and the one before that wasn't all that interesting either, so my expectations aren't exactly high. I'm glad Sawyer finally gets some screentime though. :cheesy:

^do you happen to have a link to those ratings?

that's crazy that the Richard episode is 9.6 out of 10... can't wait for that one!

Or you know...the list I posted before that.
