So your blood's been tested right? That's cool

Yesterday we discovered how they handle emergencies at the hospital, including the visit of the rescue helicopter on the roof, that was really awesome :wacky:

Yes, we're going to test blood samples <3

What kind of stuff did you do?

Sweet!

Oh we didn't really do anything, we just learnt how they word and they made us visit, made me wanna work there so much! Can't wait to work at the hospital :freak:

I was really scared before my exams but now I'm feeling good about getting where I want to be.

I can't wait either <3

I like to imagine myself doing neurosurgery and everything

I'm pathetic :(

No you're not, it's every med student's wish!

Still I don't see myself doing neurosurgery, I don't like surgeons that much :\

I really wanna work at the hospital this summer!

I don't like doctors though, as I've said before they have a tendancy to be absolute pricks who get into medicine for the wrong reasons and fucking love themselves.

I don't love myself, but I'm arrogant enough to brag about being a med student. *wrong*

Also, you're right, there are many hypocrites there, who just get in for the money but saying they are doctors cause they're being altruistic.

I got in cause I like it, and everything else is boring. And some other personal reason.

Perrine, why don't you like surgeons?

And waaait, are you going to choose a specialty where you don't operate at all?

It's just wrong to say that...

See, I meet many doctors/doctors to be, and some are so humble about their job/knowledge!

But yeah, I saw some jerks who think they're god and that they can treat students and nurses like shit, and if there's one thing I wish, that's I'll never ever be like this :\

I'm not really the kind of person who brag about this, I mean, there are more difficult jobs

Oh, I think it's too technical, and most of the time there isn't much contact with the patient... Plus in all the doctors I've met, surgeons were just the worst (not all of course), bragging all the time and thinking they're god and that everyone owes them respect

Oh, I don't know yet, but I'm pretty interested in children/ obstetrical stuff, but of course I still have a lot of time to decide :nice:

My point was it's just as stupid for you to say it about surgeons, but there are a lot of dickhead doctors, I work in a hospital so I have to deal with their arrogance daily.

I know, but I've noticed that surgeons tend to be even more arrogant

I only brag outside school :P

There are plenty medstudents who are really good, but bleh, most of them are jerks.

In school I'm different, I'm quiet, but tend to be mean to geeks even if I'm one. Mostly just mean to the really annoying geeks.

I don't think I'll act like I'm God, but I dunno, I'll definitely feel proud if I succeed as a surgeon, and I get to be a neurologist.

People say Pediatrics/Obstetrics are the best specialties for women.. but I'd never do it :( I don't have the patience for kids/old people and obstetrics isn't something that interests me.

Oh okay^^

Actually my dad is more proud that I am, and it can be very embarrassing sometimes, so I just tell him to shut up haha

What do you mean by "annoying geeks" ?

Best specialties for women?

Anyway... I think that a doctor should be able to heal any kind of persons, even if I wouldn't choose geriatrics

Oh, I'd love to be an emergency doctor as well!

Haha, my grandmother is the one embarrassing me.. I didn't even dare to give her a copy of my grades cause she'd show it to everyone.

Annoying geeks: The ones overly excited in class, like:

Doctor: So.. the superior mesenteric...

Geek: Abdominal Aorta!

Me: Let him finish the question kid.

Case 2

Doctor: Well start presentations on monday and..

Geek: ME FIRST ME FIRST!! *DISLOCATING SHOULDER WHILE RAISING HAND* PICK ME PICK MEEEEE

That's what they say.. cause fem doctors have children, and blah blah blah.

Emergency is very appealing to me, must be really exciting as well.

are they not very good?

^I guess they are, but that's the embarrassing thing actually :D

Haha I perfectly see what you're talking about, we have the same here xD

Except than most of our lessons take place in big lecture halls, so the poor guys are forced to stay quiet

Yeah, stupid way of thinking!

Yes it does! Ah I guess I'll end up by finding something great :nice:

Ahh, I'm in clasrooms ¬¬ the only class I have in a big lecture class is prev. medicine.

You will :wacky:

No, Ian's not mocking you, he thought you were embarrassed cause your grades weren't good and your grandma showed them to everyone :D

Oh, we're only in classrooms when we're separated in little groups, otherwise we're almost 300 so it wouldn't fit^^

Neurology sounds awesome... but I just couldn't handle certain diseases :\

  • Author

Nah, if my grades were awful she'd tell everyone I'm a loser and an idiot. My grandma is annoying.

What kind of diseases? .-. I'd love to see a patient with CJD or chorea.

Oh, a disease which makes me cry each time a teacher talks about it, neurological diseases are the worst ...
