So I'm Requesting a Room Change

Featured Replies

Yeah thats right, after 4 months of living in hell, I've finally built up the balls. And they are huge. Like they've never been emptied, ever.

So come tomorrow, I'm working on a good ass email to the housing to department to plead my case, filling out my form, paying my 40 dollars.

PS. You may have remembered my thread from September about this. What has happened since then?

She still stinks like shit.

She fucking leaves her clothes everywhere. Including her undergarments on my bed sometimes.

She seems to have the impression that the floor is a garbage can.

I'm pretty sure she uses my printer.

She's always wearing these pajamas that are too short, and I wanna a puke a bit everytime I see her.

I got invisalign, so I dont really snack. I didnt use my refrigerator for like a good month.. One day, I open it to find mold and fruit flies. Turns out the dumb bitch left milk and other things in there and somehow managed to unplug my refrigerator somehow.. So yeah.. I made her clean that shit up.

One day, I get a phonecall and find out that the room has bed bugs... Yeah... bed bugs. Only thing is... she's got bites all over her body for like weeks or months.. I dont have a single one. So obviously she brought them in and theyre only fucking after her. As a result.. I didnt get to stay in my room for two nights before I went home for Christmas when they were gonna spray our room.

I come back after Christmas, to find the place unsprayed.. I go and ask front desk why... turns out SOMEONE (not me, cause I took all my clothes home) left clothes all over the floor, so the place wasnt suitable to be sprayed. So now she's fucking stupid too cause I sat at the meeting with her stinky ass where they told us how to pack.

So pretty much a disaster.. Plus she talks like an annoying fuck.

To be honest, I pretty much only go to my room to sleep. And to be perfectly honest, most of the time I'll just crash at my boyfriend's or another friend's. It's pretty bad.

Do you think that's enough to be granted a room change? Jesus.

Also, any advice on making sure I get a room transfer?

gosh, you were being very patient.

how could all this not be enough for a room- change!

I can't believe something hadn't been done about your "fume-mate" before now!:stunned:

I'm amazed you didn't "kick up a stink" sooner!!

Jesus H Christ. If they don't change your room then sue.

I'm surprised that you have survived for so long :stunned:

It was decent of you to try to get along with her, but YES get out of there now!!

4 months!?! You brave, brave soul... I would've gone fucking crazy

That's why I'm not living in dorms >_>

Good luck and hope you get the room change :nice:

Have you told her the truth? She might need that...

Exactly why I don't live in dorms. It's better just to rent a house or apartment and just pick your roomate(s).

Have you told her the truth? She might need that...

I guess its hard to tell someone they stink, they dress like a whore, they talk annoyingly, they're stupid, lazy, unhygienic and you try to avoid being around them.

I can't believe that it's common to make everyone share rooms over there, and what often seems to be with a stranger. In the UK/Ireland you get your own room in dorms.

My advice is to make the spraying of bed bugs the main issue of complaint, if you get a note from the front desk/whatever company was supposed to spray your room, that'll stand up a bit strong. You may need to tell your room-mate that you are going to complain, because your college will probably need to interview her about who's fault this is.

So yes, if spraying has put you out of your room, is going to again, has affected your studying, as well as the fact it proves her general hygiene is affecting you. No doubt if it comes down to it, she'll be too embarrassed about her hygiene to really dispute it (That's how I feel when people bring up my hygiene in public) so it really shouldn't be an issue.

Hiring a hitman will get rid of her.

And if you get caught you'll get your own room in jail with a bunch of crazy bitches.

Its win win.

Yeah what Reilly said, if you provide evidence of her not letting people spray your room to get rid of insect plague I am pretty sure a reasonable human being would let you pick a different room.

Have you told her the truth? She might need that...

I agree with Will.

Tell her the truth first, so at least when you do move out (which seems likely, since it seems like she's not going to pick up after herself anytime soon) it isn't like something she should much surprised about you wanting to move to a different dorm or what not. That's what I would do.

She asked her if she used deodorant a long time ago and her roomate just went RARRR I ALREDY DO if I remember correctly...

Lame. You need a new roommate. Maybe one with a drug problem?
