Has anyone bought other songs than A Message too?
I bought the complete album :)

^Yes! Please stop it, it hurts!

I bought the complete album :)

I have thought about that, but I think I'll just buy the songs I like.

^ :D

so which songs you like? :p

^I've already downloaded Halo, and I think I'll get Let It Be too. And maybe Like A Prayer too.. And I'm gonna listen to Motherless Child again to see if I like it.

^^ niceee :D

enjoy those :p

No. :dozey:

yup, I bought Alone and Forsaken, Halo, and Let it Be (the only Beatles cover that I've ever purchased and will ever purchase- I'm a Beatles purist :P)... My parents bought other songs like Bruce Springsteen's, etc, so together we basically have the whole album :)

but A Message 2010 is the best, obviously! :smug:

I'm watching pics and videos ... thanks everyone!! :)

That intimate performance was exiting!! The new rhythm of the song, the lyric, Chris voice, Will choirs ... and I'm supposed to see Davide Rossi's shadow - at about 3'19" - any one else?! - (If they work like this now ... everything's getting really interesting!).

Overall, I hope this will really help Haiti now!!!

Yeah, that's Davide alright! :D I know, I think their 'new' sound will be amazing if it's anything close to how A Message sounded... :awesome:

Nu-Bono was there too - aka Chris Martin of Coldplay. Another message song - this one actually called A Message (that makes it easy) - with lines like "my heavy heart is made of stone" and "you don't have to be alone" (click here to hear the song if you must); this one even finishes with the rather insulting plea of "please come home".

These people are home - they just don't have much of a home left.

But at least as important as donating time and effort to the cause is clearly the desire to pick the right song - even if it ends up being pretty much the wrong song.

I have six words. 'Haiti we can see your Halo'. :dozey:

EDIT: I read the whole article. In a weird way it was actually kind of fun. :P

when i saw the begining of the concert, i was thinking "that is not the way to make people watch and donate", it started like a memorial ceremony, yes it was a tragedy, but this concert was for hope and helping the haiti civilians.

i don't know how to explain.

the important thing is that fans donated money, because they care and they are inspired by artists that care, like coldplay and others who called people to donate to this cause.

i have donated to oxfam, after chris' message ,and also donated to hopeforhaitinow.

about coldplay i think they could have choose a different song for this, but it was beautiful and the guys looked great, and beyonce's singing with chris playing the piano was really beautiful.(i didn't like her haircut)

and chris is so not nu-bono, he is humble and charming.

^ Chris is so much better than "bonito" :D

agreed :)

this one even finishes with the rather insulting plea of "please come home".

Well, this journalist sure did his homework. :dozey: Actually, the version of A message Chris sung did not end with the original "and i love you please come home" but "till that bitter breeze has blown." They changed some of the lyrics for the performance, which must have been for the exact reason this self-righteous idiot is accusing them of not doing - because the original verse wouldn't fit with the occasion.

Seriously, what's with the criticism? The guys wanted to participate in the concert and being as big as they are with so many fans will undoubtably have helped persaude people to donate something. They put their hearts into the performance and have even set up several Viva auctions with the winning bidders money going directly to help the people of Haiti. Is that not enough? As bands go, they're more generous and pro-active in good causes than most. Just look at the massive end of decade auction they had.

Some people just have to find something to pick on them about. I thought the whole show was exceptionally well handled.

Agreed. ;) He is far more humble and self-deprecating than St Bono.
