when and how did you first hear (of) Coldplay, and when did you start to love them?? :)

 

i remember july 22nd, 2001. the brixton-academy-gig from april 01 was broadcasted on the radiostatio FM4. i had never heard of coldplay before (though i had already heard yellow once on the radio before, but i didn't know it was coldplay :rolleyes: )

 

i recorded the gig on a tape, and after i had listened to it several times on the following day, i quickly went to town to buy parachutes....

Well I first got to know them when I saw 'Yellow' on MTV once at the middle of the night.... but the song that really got me into liking them was 'Trouble' :) I became a fan right away.

I've always liked them, at one point Parachutes just wasn't out of my cd player, I loved it that much! Then I saw the Glastonbury festival 2002 broadcast on BBC2 and I thought WOW, this band is amazing, after that I became more hardcore. :cool: :lol: if you wanna call it that!

when i saw them at glasto.....well on tv lol and i woz just totally hooked :D

I first heard of them, when i was an exchange student in Fresno,CA this easter, because my exchange dad is a coldplay fan and listened to them in the car

to be true I wasn't that excited about em that time

 

but 4months ago, when I felt in love, I wanted to listen to music while lying in my bed, so I took the only CD i could find and it was AROBTTH from my bro, he never got the CD back anyway^^

he got the cd from a friend who didnt want it, who has got it as a present from his exchange parents in manchester where he lived one year

 

thats how coldplay found its way to me :D

when i 1st heard yellow, i can remember exactky when it was and all!!! it came on after i'll be missing you on mtv about 3 years ago and my friend said: omg he is the image of your brother and then i watched the vid and fell in love with the song, and that was when i still liked pop :rolleyes: and they saved me!!! :lol: :lol: ;)

When I first heard Yellow :) and then saw em in concert in 2002 in chicago. Awesome concert...heard songs from the parachutes album and their new songs from the AROBTTH album.

 

That was the first time I had heard any of the songs from the AROBTTH album....except for In My place. Loved Green Eyes the first time they played it...and Clocks and Politck sounded amazing. I bought the AROBTTH album right after that and have not been dissapointed with my purchase! :)

The first song I heard of them was 'Trouble' in the radio stations here. I couldn't stop crying everytime I heard it (and I still do...). I got 'Parachutes' but I became a fan since the release of 'AROBTTH' and specially, after their gig here in November. Wooo-hoo!!

i got into coldplay suddenly. i had just gotten bnack from england and i missed it A LOT so anyways i put in my sister's AROBTTH cd and i cried i reminded me of enlgand. eventually learned to just love anything and anything they put out. anyways, does anyone no the song joey by boy? argh no one else does, and i want to hear it again

Don't remember exactly when but remember seeing the video for Shiver and loving it from the start. Next memory is hearing "Parachutes" at V2000 and thinking "I have to have this!!!" Hubby was converted in September of that year and now my little boy is a fan too! I'm on a mission to convert the world!!

I get CDs from the library too! Sometimes they have a good selection. Actually I rented out the Parachutes album to hear it for the first time.

It was like... 1 1/2 year ago... i was reading the newspaper and they had an article talking about a new band from the uk... and basically saying that the vocalist was some kind of new bono vox, cos he was very talented and supported social causes. I thought that was interesting, so i went to kazaa and downloaded trouble, one of the tracks that they recommended. I downloaded it, and didn't really like it. (lol shame on me!) but they were also talking about yellow on the papers, so i downloaded it too. man, it rocked so much! i instantly fell in love with the song and the band, so the day after i went to a cd store to buy parachutes... but they didn't have it, so i went home again and downloaded shiver... and i was like: "Holy shit, they really are brilliant!!!". So, 1 week after that, the cd store got my copy of parachutes, so i bought it and from that day on i've been listening to coldplay 24/7.... :smug:
