yep! if you mean my username

That's cool. Can you do that awesome water-horse thing?

She was my favorite person on the show. I don't think she did that great but I'm glad she sung it. She should have done it differently but it wasn't horrible and I don't hate her for singing a Coldplay song. I liked it but it wasn't good enough.

but it wasn't good enough.

As always!

I don't think I've ever heard a decent cover of a Coldplay song.:dozey:

yes actually I can do the "water-horse thing" there is a video on youtube of it. Its not as fun as it looked in the movie, I remember at one point my horse almost drowned. Anyway that's life ain't it. ;)

That is pretty cool..

Interesting fact:

The Scientist is now currently number 23 for the single songs on Itunes in the U.S.:P

Wow. It's amazing what a bit of publicity will do :P

This has been done before:

Last year a girl called Stacey Solomon sang The Scientist on the Xfactor.

It was "quite" good. And Coldplay sent her signed CDs and a message telling her they liked her which was really sweet. Jealous or what!

I am still super excited about that Lord of the Rings "water-horse" trick.

between Kris Allen and Adam Lambert. :suicide:

That was REAAALLLYYY sloww :stunned:

I didnt like it that much :/

Also, all judges said that it's an awesome song and that they love that song. Simon called it contemporary and very cool.. the song, not the performance, so kudos to our boys. :)

I agree kudos to our boys:dance:

but yeah Epperly butchered it :shifty:

and messed up lyrics :P

It was.....okay. It wasn't horrendous. If you heard last year's contestant, Matt Giraud, doing Viva La Vida then you'd agree. Now, THAT was horrendous.

It was way too slow, though.....and that stupid note at the end. What possessed her?! Oh, I forgot, she had to give one big, dumb American Idol glory note at the end.

I can teach you if you want :)

The singing wasn't very good, but at least it was better than Avril Lavigne attempting to sing The Scientist. If you have sensitive ears, don't click! :laugh3:

That was actually a quite decent interpretation in my opinion, why's it getting all this hate? She made it a lot darker than the original and actually changed up the melodies a little bit, ie she actually interpreted it, certainly better than most others on that show can claim.

She brought out the pain and loss in that song quite well in my opinion, I mean in the original it's a lot more subtle and I like the original better but this one has its merits too I think.

its one of the better attempts I admit, miles ahead of avril, but the egregious amounts of emotional strain during the verse killed it for me outright. People over-emotionalize them in covers, but that's what AI wants. They want you to make every note a highlight, when that's just not the nature of the song.
