I have mixed feelings about mine. If given the opportunity, however, I probably wouldn't change it, merely because I'm so used to it.

I don't really like it. It's alright I guess, but it's soooo common.

 

Plus I've noticed that Emily is a common name for lesbians...and I'm not. So it just feels inaccurate.

It sounds weird, but I personally know someone whose name is Emily who is gay, and I've read or heard about books where a gay character was called Emily. AND I've seen a few movies and tv shows like that too.

That's it :dozey: I live in the French speaking part, where we use a lot of composed names, like mine. It's just something that isn't common outside Quebec (and France).

 

But otherwise, when I'm in class and they take the presences, there are always 2 or 3 girls who have to ask 'which Marie-Pier?' when they say our first name.

Oh, that'd piss me off.

No! Haha, I went to that school for 2 years before we moved to the suburbs. My teacher was this young hippy woman who never made us do anything haha, and in stereotypical fashion towards the end of the 2nd year she took off to San Francisco without telling anyone :awesome:

I for one, like my name. It's slightly annoying since there are a lot of Emilys in my classes but that's fine. My middle name is terrible though. My parents are the worst for it
