Robert Pattinson To Play Kurt Cobain

4253981.jpgTwilight superstar R Patz has been slated to play the Nirvana frontman in a Hollywood biopic.

The Sun are reporting that British Actor, teenage swoon machine and vampiric heartthrob Robert Pattinson has been lined up to play Kurt Cobain in a film about the troubled Nirvana frontman. R-Patz is said to have been picked by Courtney Love, who has a “key role” in the movie’s production.

The Sun’s source said, “Robert has been calling and emailing her non-stop. She has been a bit wound up by his manners, but he is her number one choice to play Kurt”.

Courtney is also reported as wanting Scarlett Johansson to play her. Daviid Fincher, the man behind Fight Club, Se7en and The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button, is also being considered as the film’s director.

Is your user name kind of like mine?

^Clearly it is.

Seeing as Love is heavily involved, I'm sure this will be about Kurt beating her up, injecting her with heroin, then beating her up while on heroin, and then going away and killing himself while she knew nothing about it. Poor girl.

I wouldn't be surprised if about an hour of the film is devoted to Courtney saving Kurt's life when he almost died in Italy.

Haha, yes, I was thinking about that some time ago when I saw you posting.

Well I thought of a joke regarding this news but it's in really poor taste in very many ways, so I won't say it.

I'll just be serious, I don't think this non-actor is at all right to take on what should no doubt be one of the most intense and emotional biopic characters ever.

Back in mid-2009 I sold around 30 GQ Magazines with Robert's face on the cover for about $50 each.

Gotta love Twilight fans, they made my second part of 2009 a little more feasible.

haha Wayne Brady is so uncomfortable saying "bitch".

Hahaha I thought he was a pretty convincing badass through the whole skit.

"I make Bryant Gumble look like Malcolm X huh motherfucker?"

It's the funniest thing in the world, the most well-mannered guy playing that role. Damn that shit's funny.

My favourite Chapelle skit (Yes even ahead of Rick James)

Cop: My mother in law is not going to believe this!

WB: That's because she's never going to know about it bitch-

Cop: Huh *Snaps neck*

WB: SHHHhhh...

OK! Soz. Back on topic.

Don't forget there was a Cobain film not too long ago, maybe 5 years? I have it on DVD, and absolutely nothing happened in it. It was very arty and just focussed on the last few days of Cobain's life.

This sounds like it's going to be very different then that, more of the jazz-hands approach.

I have this gut feeling based on the trailers for Pattinson's movie Remember Me, that perhaps there is something more to him than this chick-flicky drab. Even though he played the same role in that film, the trailers had some brief moments where I saw the potential for him to be in a darker role. Something about him gives me the feeling if put in an intesely dark role he could really do it. I could be completely wrong, but he was chosen for this role for a reason.

He'll do it decently. But it won't be anything spectacular, I think, because he's only been in chick-flicky drab.

Couldn't we just dig ole Kurt up and let him star as himself? I mean, with the help of modern technology, anything is possible these days!

Let's just make a CGI version with him! Now that Avatar has managed to make realistic human-like people, anything is possible!!!!

I actually wouldn't mind him in the role  then again, I probably wouldn't go and see it anyway.

Is it really THAT unbelievable?

That said I've never seen R-Pats act.
