Why should we judge someone because of their beliefs?

Agreed. Although most people here are just stating what they believe, I think there were only a couple of posts that actually seemed judgmental.

Why should we judge someone because of their beliefs?

No one said we should, but I don't see anything wrong with judging other people so long as you don't jump to conclusions that aren't imbedded in their initial claims.

I agree, scientology is fucked-up. Thus I don't see anything wrong with logically concluding that something is fucked-up with that person's thinking.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't scientology started as an experiment, of sorts? I mean, didn't the founder create it just to see how many people would follow it?

Yeah... I dont believe in God. I doubt theres some holy being who "loves us" and all that crap.

I believe in synchronisity... and I believe for my life, Coldplays intertwined in it A LOT

and I'm hoping for reincarnation or some sort of inbetween like in The Lovely Bones

I'm Jatravartid :blank:

I just want religion to leave me alone :shame: we'll have plenty time to ponder where we're going when we're old.

He has to be out there....just look all around you, how can you not believe in the holy ghost or something beyond this life??? :o

we all have different backgrounds and different experiences along our life:

some people have those believes some don't and it is accordingly with background and experiences. (My dad says that none on earth is completely free to choose their believes).

i respect both sides (religious vs atheist) as none is proven to be the right one.

i honestly think if there's anything we'll know someday and that there's no need to bash others for believing or not in it, and much less to say things as, your God is worst than mine, or generally mock on each others believes.

if there's indeed a 'God' (call it a force, call it whatever you want and give it the attributes you want) i don't think it'd like we be so childish about it.

It (God) could be simply the good spirits we all are suppoused to have: as be peaceful, comprehensive, tolerant, helpful, respectful, try to find the possitive things in life to become a better person and give the best of ourselves to the others and so make a better society in our daily life.

that said, i consider myself a religious person -i do pray- although it doesn't mean i agree with the institutions we have and how them say God is and so on, so at times i tend to believe more in Greek-Roman Gods than in Roman Catholic believes in which i've been grown.

I've been talking about it recently with a familiar, and we both got to conclude that it be true or not, people need something to believe in and so to organize their life around it, call it religion, call it politics, call it philosophy or even call it a hobbie... cause there's not a Maradona kind of religion? there's not a Jedi religion too?

even for a laugh or in all seriousness truth is people have tried to find something out there that might explain ourselves here, some succed some not,

and btw i admit atheism as another kind of religion as is another belief, that is simply to 'not believe in all that Gods crap'.

have any of you ever thought we all are right in our believes? (even when not believing)

i mean seeing it as something that humans 'create', why can't we all be true in our seeing or believing in God and all that? Don't we all are happy with our personal believes?

i mean what i've noticied along the years is that, we all have different interpretations to things, even of tiny daily life things, and it doesn't mean one is right and the other is wrong. So as an example with music:

one like violins on a song, so one tend to listen classical music, cause one likes fits more in that genre, but it doesn't mean that with that one dislike other genres.

no, because it violates the law of non-contradiction. comments like these annoy me 100x more than those that attack my beliefs.

music is subjective, atheism and theism cannot both be right, it's like saying:

2+2= whatever you want it to be, who am I to judge? :nice:

2+2 CAN be whatever you want it to be, depending on what mod you are using

Yes, there is a god, but our mistake is thinking that He'll do everything for us.

That's what I think too

^Uhm. Right. :stunned:

Are you questioning my beliefs or belittiling my religion in some way?

^Speak for yourself, Scientology FTW!? :freak:

That should give you a clue.

(HINT:YES)

I'm not stupid enough to fall for Scientology, or any other organized religion come to think of it.

Didn't Tom Cruise build a bunker in case this Alien Warlord comes back?, what a mental midget.

Well, that whole thing was a joke then?

OH! LOLZ! GOOD ONE!

I hate living in a country in which either you're a Christian or you're a retard. :disappointed:

I myself am very open-minded to everything. I dunno what to believe, though. I could so be an atheist, but I like to think there is a God to give cred to for whatever good there is left in this fucked up world of ours.
