Long Live Life
Given Chris' very vocal support of Barack Obama in the US, do you think he will come out publically in favour of the Lib Dems as many are speculating, see: http://www.virginmedia.com/music/features/popstar-voting.php?page=6 http://www.libdemvoice.org/what-do-colin-firth-kate-winslett-andrew-motion-brian-eno-have-in-common-17954.html

coldplay_is_louve.
^^I agree! It's nice to know he's not a stupid Republican. I guess he doesn't feel "celebirty" enough to announce it to the world. He doesn't care. :P
Mimixxx
Well he's not doing shows or interviews at the moment, like he was in 08, so unless he stands on a soap box in trafalgar square and announces it to passers by I guess not any time soon :P

yeahhright
Honestly, who cares? He's the lead singer of a band, remember? Not a politician with actual say in government. Whether he is a "stupid" Republican or a Liberal Democrat, it really doesn't matter.
moss
it's not that we necessarily care, it's just that his support would help the campaign

Long Live Life
Hahaha! That would be a sight to behold! :P Well hasn't Chris been a London busker and an undercover odd job man for Shelter in the past? I can just see Coldplay or Chris busking for the Lib Dems in Trafalgar Square! What song would they choose? "Fix You?"

Pseudonym
it's not that we necessarily care, it's just that his support would help the campaign 1). What campaign? No one is running for president right now. 2). It would not help anything. Liberals who already like him will like him more, Republicans who already hate him will hate him more. No one is going to change their political association because Chris Martin said he was a democrat. 3). He's a singer, not a political figure (as someone already said). He doesn't know any more about politics than anyone else. And he won't come out on either side because if asked he'd say it's not his place or his job. I might be wrong, though. EDIT: I googled it and the UK is indeed having their General Election in May!
